The media could not be loaded.  The HBX 2995 Desert Truck is a much welcomed bigger step up from it's smaller HBX brethren.  And just like the other little HBC RC, this truck is made for fun and durability out of the box!It comes ready to run with everything you need out of the box.  You get the speed adjustable controller, two batteries, stickers, instructions and even a discount offer for other HBX products.  The truck has a sleek desert racer style look and has some nice metal components in its build. Its tuff and its fun!  I took it on multiple types of terrain and bumped and crashed this thing all over to test its durability.  It took everything I threw at it and is sitting nice in my garage waiting for more.  The truck drives with a nice amount of slip off road that will put a smile on your face.  The tires are grippy on road and it is fun to see it grip and sway with hard acceleration and turns!HBX made another durable and fun truck that is priced to make you smile.  Whether your and adult or kid, you will enjoy this bigger variant of HBX RC, especially if you already like there smaller counterparts.  I only wish HBX makes a bigger RC with more power and even more fun potential!

The media could not be loaded.  This new version of the Haiboxing 2995 is wicked tough and fast! And, it's fully upgraded from the original, with metal axles, oil capped shocks, metal gear boxes, new easy access power switch and pre-installed bonus lighting package. The chassis is super tough and durable. I really gave it a bashing and it handled it with flying colors. The water resistant motor, servo and receiver make it great for mud runs. The super gripping tires can handle any kind of terrain. They have even upgraded the controller (something all of us Haiboxing fan boys complained about). The controller has more features and the car responds to it much better. Particularly in reverse, which was the biggest problem for me. The power of the battery gives you great run time. The EXTRA battery doubles it! This is a fairly common battery. So, you can get as much run time as you can handle by picking up a few more spares. And, Haiboxing is doing a great job of making extra batteries, replacement parts and upgrades readily available. Haiboxing (HBX) is definitely listening to it's customers and really stepping up their game. I think that they are truly at the top of the heap now, with their new line up. They have really advanced themselves in the HOBBY GRADE cars now, leaving the toy grade to the companies that are only interested in making toys. The other guys have some catching up to do. I am VERY happy with Haiboxing and the new Desert Truck (formerly known as the Protector)! Five stars!

Purchased this for my son's birthday. I turned down the speed so he could use it. Read all the instructions to make sure it was used properly. He played with it one day with one battery then we uninstalled the battery to charge. The second day he went to use the car it would take off on its own without even touching the receiver. The car also would not go in reverse. It had a fresh battery and fresh batteries in the receiver.Contacted customer service via chat, got a guy named Billy Jo, really!! Explained my issue and the 1st thing offered was a partial refund of $30.00 for Amazon and I get to keep the car. I paid $108+tax and it worked for a day. I explained that was not a fair offer and how do I fix it. He had me hold the auxiliary button down for 15 seconds on the receiver and that did not fix it. Then he offered me a refund or replace the car. I decided to refund via amazon.The car is nice, very nice if working. Customer service was responsive and did offer some sort of support but support was limited and provided no resolution for the issue I was having. I went this route hoping I would get something that would last and more durable than the cars offered at our local stores.Sending this item back. I could have received a bad one so I cannot recommend or not recommend this item. But my review is an honest experience. I just hate to give my children things that don't last when I have invested time doing homework to make sure it is a good purchase.

What a great car and great value for the money! My kids and myself have enjoyed this car driving it around the yard and at the local park. They really like the lights on it as well. Although not quite as fast as it says on the box, it is fast enough for young teens and has a proportional trim to dial throttle back for even younger kids. So far the car has taken some mild bashing punishment and a few head on collisions into the fence. LoL. The carriage is thick and encloses the electronics. The body pins with the pull tabs are a huge improvement and make getting the body off a breeze. The remote/transmitter has great range as well. I recommend the car and will make a great gift for the holidays or a birthday.

Great performance and durability in general. For the $, what you get is really hard to beat! It ones with a490 brushed motor, which is essentially a longer 390 motor. Which means pretty good performance and if you want to upgrade to brushless you can. There's just one problem, the mount for the motor is NOT ADJUSTABLE. I was able to fit a 2838 4800kv motor with the stock pinion gear. Once I did that it was a wheelie monster! The only thing that broke ( after bout 10-15 battery packs)was the pinion gear itself sheared all its teeth off! Absolutely everything else on the car was in perfect shape including the spur gear! Te cvds and dog bones are super thick.. ways thicker than any of my other rcs from Losi, traxxas, axial, TA, and Wltoys. So durability is unquestionably top notch for my experience. Electronics for my is alo good. Even those I went brushless on this car, I used the esc and servo on a diff car and it hasn't given me a single issue.
