Sounds awesome

This thing sounds amazing. It cuts right through the loudest jams clearly, and fills the cowbell role without the cheese factor. It's been a GREAT addition to my kit. My one and only complaint is the mount. The bracket and bolt are both just a little too small to fit most standard cowbell mounts. It's clearly designed to go on top of your hi-hat, but it's just big and heavy enough to alter the hi-hat performance. I wound up drilling out the mount holes to be a bit larger, and that worked for me. Other than that issue, I love everything about it.

Comes with self-clamping. Provides clave sound. I use with modified cajon kit. With practice you can even use the higher pitch in center of plastic block to imitate rim shot of snare drum at soft volume.

To add an extra little bit to the drum set

This generic brand product does work as described, although I got a name brand LP (Latin Percussion) jam block also and the difference I see is that the LP has a much larger sweet spot for good sound. This item does sound good, but the sweet spot is harder to hit every time, whereas the LP has a bigger sweet spot and sounds a bit better, in terms of sharp cutting jam block sound.
