This is an incredible deal to me and my ears.
First and foremost im going to start this review by saying that for the last four, going on five, years i've used a set of dt 770 pro's as my main "Daily driver" as it were. My second set of headphones was a set of MeeAudio M6 pro's. I don't use them as often as I probably should, but they're always there when I need to isolate from the world and when im out and about and want to listen to some music. Now, the reason I mention this is because while i'm nothing close to an audiophile, and my hearing probably isn't the most amazing thing in the world, I still have an appreciation for good music (and audio quality), while also having an appreciation for different types of music and media. Anime, Movies, Tv shows, and games as well as things like Rock, Orchestra, music scores, violin, piano, dubstep, and chill step. I'm kind of all over the place. Now, For the last couple of days i've been using the headphones and I have thoroughly enjoyed them. While this is my first set of over the ear bluetooth headphone? It isn't my first set of bluetooth headphones and that's important to understand. My original foray into bluetooth was using a set of galaxy buds live. I had issues from the start with those. For me they made my ears uncomfortable, The sound quality was crackly, and worse was that every time I touched them to move them a bit I would trigger the touch controls.I've basically been using the XM4's since I received them. Because it's an expensive product (made cheaper by being renewed, but i'll get to this), and I wanted to make sure I liked it before my return period was up. You know, doing my due diligence.I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase, and this is very important to understand. Because i'm not the kind of human being who replaces a product every year or two. I'm the kind of person who uses something until it breaks, then I figure out how to use epoxy, and a soldering iron, to keep it going a little longer. Purchases for me are for the long term, and the result of that mentality leads me to being rather critical with regards to products. This isn't my first experience buying renewed, and just as the first experience I am completely satisfied with the savings, as well as the product in question. For the record, I purchased the product from Secondipity and, to be frank, I would absolutely buy from them again. But let's get to the contents of the box. When they came they were with a few other things and the headphones themselves came in the case that you see in the pictures. Everything was there, The USB cable, the 3.5mm cable, and the headphone adapter for an airplane. Now, I don't have the capacity to really test the adapter. But thus far, everything seems to be working just fine. The manual is -not- included. But, that's easily sourced by googling on the internet. There was no outward sign's of wear, despite the fact that this particular set of headphones had been paired to at least three prior devices (I found them in the sony application when I was checking out settings). I found that interesting, considering how "new" the headphones themselves looked! Mark that up as a win for the headphones in my opinion. The quality of the headphones is just fine to me. They're fun to listen to. Even now, im listening to music while I write this review, and I frequently find myself bobbing along to the music. This is important because I feel sound quality is why you buy headphones. Convience is why you buy bluetooth. Thus far, I haven't found any media that I didn't enjoy listening to. More than that, I absolutely adore the controls on the headphones. Unlike the buds live, which I had issues triggering, and triggered at all the wrong time? These are quite interesting.I did find a weird thing where if I have the headphones paired to my phone and the PC via multipoint, I was unable to get the touch controls to work (play, pause, forward, back, volume up and down) when listening to music from the PC when also connected to my phone (4a 5g for reference, and the PC in question is a surface pro 7 just for the record), but honestly that's not that big of a deal. I didn't really buy them for my phone, and mostly for my PC related content.I've watched youtube, Netflix, and even my own local media via a plex media server and all three of them didn't show any describable latency to me. If there was latency it was so minute I didn't actually notice it.Second is that I use my surface pro to play video games from across my room. So, I stream the game from my PC, to my surface pro. I use a bluetooth controller (switch pro controller), and the XM4's. Everything's been great, and further makes me feel the xm4's were the purchase to me.The headphones are a lot lighter than I would have expected and the comfort is pretty great! I don't have any problems with my ears getting too warm, or anything and sometimes I will start to turn over in my bed while watching content on my surface pro and then remember im wearing headphones. xDI haven't used the ANC very much to really get a idea of how good, or bad, it is. But there are a dozen reviews for that kind of thing I think, and i'll just trust that they know what they're doing in that regard. Thus far, I leave it turned off because I just don't need it right now. I do love that I can turn it off, turn on ambient mode, as well as use ANC. More than that, I adore being able to turn on the voice activated ambient mode (You speak, and it automatically kicks on ambient mode to let in audio from outside), as well as the temporary ambient mode. Both are incredibly cool to me.The only con's that I can really note are down to the headphones themselves, and not the seller. The first thing I noticed is that the hinges seem to be a bit "Flimsy" shall we say, I do worry about them breaking over time. Though I read that epoxy can fix that. For me that is a concern, but honestly I chalk that mostly up to design of the headphones over anything else, because I also have no other point of comparison. As such, I have no way of knowing if this perceived flaw is deceptive, or something to actually be concerned over nor will I be able to comment on that for a while. More than that, im a terrible judge of these things because of how careful I tend to be with my products. The second con is the microphone.. I am sorry to say that it is awful compared to even the internal built in microphone array on my surface pro, and definitely worse than my desktop microphone. I feel very compressed when I listen to my voice through them, or do a recording. Now, I've only really used it through discord for testing purposes. But it was not pleasant at all. To be honest though, I expected all the reports of the internal microphone for the xm4's being bad was overblown. It isnt. Which is unfortunate, but I didn't purchase them to use as a portable/mobile microphone and headphone conversation. I didn't get them for calls, so it's not really an issue for me personally. But it is something to know.Outside of the microphone voice quality (Which could be better now that I upgraded the software, but haven't yet checked again), and the hinges on the headphones being a tad on the flimsy side? They're a great purchase. All the more considering that Secondipity was able to bring them to my home for around 130$ less than purchasing them new.All in all? These headphones, and definitely this deal, are a steal and i've toyed with buying a second set as a gift for someone I know. So if you're on the fence? I say go for it. I hope this helped. Sure, You're paying for convenience, but for me? This quality, at this price point, with that bluetooth convenience makes it worth it, and I don't regret my purchase.I hope this helps someone. =]

Great headphones with many features!
I’ve had many Bluetooth earbuds and headphones. I still have a Sony DR 22 headset from 2008 working fine but had to replace the crumbling ear pads. I’ve been searching for at least a year for a reasonably priced but featured filled headphone and have tried various ones. Most recently replaced my Sennheiser HD 4.4 BT (now my wife’s) with this Sony. Condition was perfect, all original packaging and accessories. The only thing missing was instructions but that was easily resolved with the app and Googling instructions.First let’s talk about fit and comfort. Many headphones advertised as over ear don’t quite fit me. I don’t have huge ears either. The Sennheiser sound nice and had good noise canceling but the ear cups are oval and they definitely rested at least partly on my ears. The Sony is more rounded with softer ear pads and even though they partially rest on my ears are much more comfortable. Either brand get a bit hot after wearing for extended periods but the Sony are more tolerable.Noise canceling is remarkably better than the Sennheiser and with the app you have the ability to adjust to your taste. The app also has an equalizer and a switch to turn in a feature that is supposed to enhance the sound of digital signals. If the equalizer and DSP are turned on the battery life is reduced. You can also adjust for transparency and there’s a switch to set the headphones to automatically pause and go into transparent mode if you speak (or sometimes just cough..).Battery life is not as good as the Sennheiser or other headphones I’ve used without noise canceling but still enough for me to use at least 2 nights for listening to audiobooks (for this I don’t turn on the equalizer or DSP), probably a third night but I charge them anyway.Sound is pretty impressive. Very solid bass. Listening to Welcome To The Machine by Pink Floyd you can almost feel the bass as if you had a subwoofer. The sound is pretty balanced without EQ but I’m an older man and have great hearing but typical loss of high frequency so if I’m going to listen to music I will boost the treble with the EQ in the app (various presets and 2 custom settings available). The soundstage is not as broad as some others I’ve used but the overall sound is quite pleasing to me.As I mentioned earlier I listen to audiobooks at night and was mostly using earbuds but it’s hard to find good earbuds that are small enough to sleep with my ear on a pillow. The Sony isn’t made for this but they’re soft enough that I’ve been able to tolerate laying with one ear on the pillow but not sleep all night in that position. The quality of the material is surprisingly good looking and feeling for plastic. They are light but feel pretty solid.Noise canceling is fantastic. I can barely hear a fan in the bedroom and traffic noise from a nearby freeway is gone. I sometimes can’t even hear my wife speaking to me so they cover a nice range of frequency, the Sennheiser was good with lower frequencies but not nearly as good overall as the Sony.I would like to try the new Apple AirPods Max to compare but the price is way to steep for me. What a bargain on these @ $200 and I opened a credit card with Amazon so wound up paying only about $100!I’ve been a fan of Sony for many years and I think they hit one out of the ballpark with these. I highly recommend them to all but the dedicated audiophile with unlimited budgets.

They’re worth every cent
So good makes me wanna combust ever second these babies are over my ear. The noise cancellation is a new thing 4 me but I was blown away (not physically) by how wonderful the quality was! I couldn’t even hear the loud ahh engine my mamas vehicle has! Though I could still hear them, that’s no fault of the headphones- my family is just really loud. I was also shook when I found out when the user who’s wearing the headphones talks, the music stops and ambience is turned up so you can engage in conversation!! The functionality of these are phenomenal and I wish everyone could have the joys of owning one. The headphones haven’t died yet and I’ve been continuously using them for almost 2 days straight.
