It really works like magic and saved our sanity!
So our 2 and a half month old baby was having a really hard time transitioning from a swaddle and she had become a swaddle escape artist. No swaddle could keep her contained and most of them she could break out of in just a few minutes. We had one brand of swaddle that would hold her for a couple of hours at most before she would finally muscle her way out of during the night and wake herself up by touching her head and face and setting off her startle reflex repeatedly. We tried a few other brands "transitional" swaddles but they made things even worse because they keep the baby's arms up next to their head where she would start touching or rubbing her head and setting off her startle reflex. After a few nights of trying those other brand transitional swaddles we were all going crazy due to sleep deprivation. After seeing a video of this sleep suit on social media we decided to give it a try and it worked! The big difference here is that the suit doesn't allow the baby to easily reach up and touch their head while sleeping. The thickness and stiffness of the sleeves naturally keeps their arms comfortably down and away from their heads. The very first time we put her in this and put her to bed and she stayed asleep for almost 6 hours straight which is a massive improvement! Now she sleeps like a rock almost every night.I will admit the sizing is a little weird. Our daughter is about 35th percentile in size for her age. The instructions say a proper fit means both hands and feet are visible. Her arms fit just fine in the sleeves and she could not pull them back though but her feet and legs just weren't long enough to fit into the leg portion of the swaddle and if we were to keep waiting for her to grow big enough then it would probably be another 2 months before her legs were long enough and our sanity wasn't going to make it that long. So for now she keeps her legs up inside the body portion of the swaddle so it's kind of like a sleep sack for now until she grows into it more which means we will just get more mileage out this in the long run. The material is thick but remember babies lose most of their heat through their heads and if you put them in a sleeveless/legless onesie then they will stay at a comfortable temperature all night and we have checked on her multiple times during the night or when she naps to see if she was getting hot and she never did.

Just buy it. Seriously.
Okay! So to start, I had a preemie baby that was in the NICU before coming home.He was VERY picky & particular about sleeping. He hated being cold & loved feeling snuggled up in warm blankets. At the same time, he absolutely hated being swaddled and having his arms held down.My husband and I struggled with both knocking him out AND making sure he stayed out. He would sleep the longest periods of time (about 3-4 hours in between) held by one of us. We were at the point of sleeping in shifts because if we were both awake at the same time, nobody was getting any sort of sleep.Short of simply putting him in bed with us, we were kind of at a loss. (Nothing wrong with people that safely cosleep, but this little guy is bottle fed & we already went down that path with our first & didn’t want to repeat it a second time)Enter Magic Merlin’s sleep sack. I had heard about the “magic” and seen photos of friends baby’s wearing the puffy marshmallow suit, but I honestly always thought it was just massively hyped up.(In retrospect, I’m a moron & maybe if I’d tried it with my first he wouldn’t have migrated into my bed)Does it work for every baby? Not sure. Did it work for MY baby? HELL YES.MY GOD THIS SUIT KNOCKS THIS CHILD OUT FLAT ON HIS DIAPER BOOTY IN WHAT FEELS LIKE A MILLISECOND. INSTANT 5-6 HOUR STRETCH OF SLEEP FOR A 3 MONTH OLD (if you’re a parent ((you must be if you’re reading this)), you know any sort of sleep is the most precious thing ((I mean besides our sweet little poop machines that don’t let us sleep)) )This thing is great. No, seriously. I let him show signs of being sleepy (simple yawning/rubbing face) and I change his diaper, slip him in the sack & lay him down in the bassinet. 9/10 I can walk away and he’s already falling asleep on his own. During winter my bedroom is around 64-70 and he’s always perfectly snug, not too hot and not too cold. We sleep him in a onesie, footie pjs and socks. Is it perfect? No, but you gotta take a hit here & there. It’s pretty thick and does take a bit to dry when you wash it. The best thing here is to have 2, if possible. Another thing to note is I feel the suit does run a little small. I have the 3-6 months size but my child is 3 months & it’s pretty tight on him (he’s about 14-15 lbs). I definitely do not see this fitting him a month from now. While the double zipper in the front is very welcome for nightly diaper changes, I do still have to pull his leg up and out of the pant leg and this usually wakes him up if he’s drowsy or sleeping—as a result, I’ve begun to do diaper changes before sleepy feeds to avoid waking him up unnecessarily. My sons head is a little flat from sleeping on his back, so we’re encouraging tummy time during the day whenever possible. He isn’t yet rolling over, but I believe the suit must get taken away once they are rolling over or attempting to while wearing it (?)I also do not put the suit on unless I think he’ll want to nap longer than an hour or it’s time for bed at night. I do not want to restrict his movement throughout the day so I let him do his thing then.So far, this suit has been an absolute lifesaver. I think if used as intended, chances are you and your child will have a great time.It has helped my little one sleep longer stretches & be comfortable & warm. I’m not certain what to expect during the summer but I will probably sleep him in a onesie and diaper with the suit over. This thing is great, if you’re struggling with baby sleep, it’s more than worth giving a try!

It really works
It really is magic. Baby is sleeping the whole night in the crib for the first time. Nap and bedtime put down is much easier. Sleeping a little bit longer stretches. It’s super soft and cozy. No smell on product. The double zippers are genius. A really thoughtfully designed product

The perfect swaddle-to-sleep transition
This was a lifesaver when we were done with the swaddle but not quite ready for full freedom. It helped all my babies feel cozy and secure without startling themselves awake. Love the marshmallow baby vibes it works! Great for easing into independent sleep.. highly recommend for that in-between stage. It is very warm so we wouldn't have baby in pjs under the suit for the warm summer months.

The Real Sleep Wizard!
This is hands down one of our absolute must-haves for babies. We’ve used the Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit with all four of our children and truly believe it played a huge role in helping them sleep through the night early on. Total game changer! We start using it around 2–3 months to help with the transition out of the swaddle. It gently muffles the startle reflex while still allowing safe back sleeping, and the deep neckline gives us peace of mind that their face stays clear. Plus, the extra-long zippers make changes a breeze. It washes well, comes in adorable colors, and grows with your baby thanks to multiple sizes. I recommend this 100000% to any new parent, guardian, or caregiver. It’s magical — truly lives up to the name!
