The Spice Way Star Anise - whole star anise (3 oz) great for baking and tea

I absolutely love this product! That's why I keep coming back for more. It makes a delicious tea and helps me and my family to keep healthy and to recover quickly from coughs and flu. I like to use it on my face as well, as it makes it smooth and refreshed. The aroma is wonderful, and the quality is awesomd. Highly recommended!

I received the boxed foil-package Star of Anise through Amazon Prime delivery. I planned to use these as additions to my holiday simmer pot gifts, so I was hoping they would arrive whole. I'm pleased to say that they arrived in excellent condition with mostly whole stars. I decided to test one today in a simmer pot of my own. Very aromatic!! Since I often use simmer pots, I am familiar with the smell my usual arrangement makes. Star of Anise is a new addition to my regular recipe. It only took one star to make a significant (pleasant) difference. I am very pleased with this product and will shop this brand in the future, hopefully with the same wonderful results.

Most of the star anise where broken into pieces. I had needed whole ones for a project I am working on. But they are fresh and I will be able to use them in cooking.
