He swam directly to it!
When I started pouring it in the water, my betta went directly to it. He doesn’t do that with most additives. I smelled the bottle; a lovely natural almond smell. One thing I wish was a bit better; I wish it was more potent or concentrated. Color is very subtle. They recommend 5mL per 2L. That doesn’t go very far! None of my bettas are in less than 30L, so the bottle is all gone 10 minutes after I bought it. Still, a lovely product. Manufacturer: Please make a more concentrated version!

Betta SPA is magic in a bottle.
I'm going to be coming back to update my review as time goes on, but I just had to write something immediately about Betta SPA. This stuff is magical. My three females have been looking really lethargic for the past week while their tank has been cycling and I thought I was going to lose one of them who did nothing but float near the surface of the water, not moving at all. I'd been doing half water changes every day using another water conditioner and that seemed to help gill inflammation, but they were all floating with fins closed, not interested in food, etc. I bought a full test kit and found that the pH and ammonia levels were both high. I did another quarter water change and added a double dose of Betta SPA (as per their instructions for conditioning, not maintenance). It barely tinted the water at all but remains clear so frankly the color doesn't bother me a bit. What I am noticing, however, is that my bettas are suddenly swimming around again, almost immediately upon adding Betta SPA! Their fins are out and they look active, even my sickliest female. Only time will tell if this is a true turnaround, but I am thrilled to see them looking 100% improved in a few minutes' time. Betta SPA handles both pH and ammonia, so I guess that did the trick for my girls!

Excellent product
I had to do an emergency water change due to the fact that my Beta did not like using Aqua Clear 2 day's in a row (didn't wait for a cycle and cheated)He reacted badly so I transferred him to another tank and changed his home's water.I transferred back and he HATED that. So, he went into his cave for 3 days and I thought that he was finished.I tried this product and in 1/2 hour he was out and swimming normally. Buy it, it works :)

Know your PH before using!
I bought this to try to get my Betta's fins to grow longer since he had fin rot 8 months ago and they are growing slowly. Before I used this product he would build bubble nests daily and was perky (totally healthy). I was cautious to just add half the dose but noticed he seemed a little restless and had bursts of energy but suddenly start sleeping more. He even stopped making bubble nests. I thought it was due to us having a lot of action due to birthday parties and thought nothing of it. Two water changes later I decided to try it again, but with the full dose and noticed in about two hours that he was darting around. I took out a test strip and sure enough his ph dropped to a 6. Luckily I was able to catch it early and change out/ aerate his water. It's been a week since that incident and he's back to making bubbles (I put in less than the amount for maintenance).

Buster seems not to like it.
I seem to one of only two or three people who've had a bad result with this product, but our Buster the Betta does not seem to like it. He came to us from Petco with fin rot. We used 2 tsp. dissolved kosher salt plus one drop of Betta Fix, plus 10 drops water conditioner in a 2 gallon bowl with every water change: 100% change every week. The little guy brightened up and his fins grew back beautifully. He greeted me at the side of the bowl at feeding time, liked his Petco Betta food and went crazy for bloodworms. After one-half dose of Atison's Betta Spa, he seems lathargic, not interested in his food and is even leaving his bloodworms uneaten. He spends more time hiding in his aquarium plants and is not as curious as usual. One plus: he works hard on his bubble nest and this product helps him make enormous foamy bubbles that stick together. I'm switching back to the food we got at Petco. In his water, back to 1 tsp dissolved kosher salt, 10 drops of water conditionner, and one drop of Betta Fix with each water change, every week. Buster seems to be happier that way. The only thing he'll miss is the huge glue-y bubble nests.

Great for fin nipping bettas
My betta was nipping his fins pretty bad due to stress from too many changes to his tank (entirely my fault). I did a week's treatment of aquarium salt and that made a huge difference. However, I wanted to introduce live plants to his tank but had to take out all his plants if there was salt in the water. I tried to introduce new plants and he started nipping again. Apparently he's not so keen on change! Not wanting to take all his stuff out, do another salt treatment, and then put his plants back in and risk him nipping again, I looked for alternatives. Initially I looked at Indian almond leaf, but didn't want to wait to have it shipped over from Asia. So I found this.I definitely notice a difference in his fins. I think he's even changing color a bit- he went from mostly black with red fins tipped white to a deeper body color that's still developing and slightly more vivid red fins. I'm glad I can use this stuff to help keep him in tip top shape and heal his fins without needing to move stuff out of his tank. I would definitely recommend this product.

Could tell my beta improved within an hour
My beta has had a rough couple of weeks so I bought him this too see if it would help and after I added this ( he was having another bad day- pale, not eating, swimming low) within 30 minutes he was swimming more and more active in the tank, next day he is eating again :)
