The thing works really good. Makes ice very fast. Easy to fill with water. Love the metal scooper it comes with and the basket that the ice falls into. The only problem is that when you said it on the thick ice is setting you have to really monitor to make sure the ice comes out. Sometimes you have to push the button to override it to dump the ice again. But I haven’t had any real problems just some massive ice clumps. 😅

Wow! Love this ice machine! It arrived quickly and in a very sturdy box and packed well. I have had the bullet type ice machines for years and they break down in about 1.5 years, and I adore Sonic nugget ice and wanted something like that but the ones I saw were over $500 so I will wait! I chose this clear ice maker... the water flows over the squares and freezes into a bar of cubes... yes you have to break them up but there is a steel ice scoop included to help. The Machine makes a lot of ice, I wait til the chamber is full and freeze it in a bag so it doesn’t stick together and then put it in my Freezer’s ice dispenser... and crush it from the door.... This ice tastes great and is clear (I do use alkaline purified water)... hopefully it will last until the nugget makers get less expensive!!!

I was worried when I saw poor reviews on this product, but I really like this machine. It is quiet and makes cubed ice quickly. Yes you have to break it apart, just make psycho stabbing sounds while you do it. Very fun and gets out some tension. Ice is clear. I use purified or boiled water. This machine will pay for itself. This cold craving thirsty woman was buying up to 6 bags of ice a week. I even give bags of ice to friends. I recommend this ice machine.

I like the portability for traveling. Also, makes plenty of ice for family gatherings.

If you are looking for crystal clear ice this is not the machine for you. If you are looking for chew-able fast food drink ice this is not the machine for you. If you are looking for a sturdy machine that can churn out large enough quantities of ice for a medium sized family on a daily basis without fault, this is indeed the machine for you. The ice is mostly clear, the machine is pretty darn quiet, and the cubes easily break apart.
