They work well, but if you have someone to help take measurements . . .
This is good. It seems a little flimsy but I've dropped it several times on hardwood and concrete floors. It hasn't broken yet.It has a 'slide' so you don't have to be looking at the caliper when you apply it, which is good. You can take the measurement and the slide records the reading so you can look at it after you 'unclamp' it from whatever fold of skin you are measuring. Then push the slide back to do another measurement. But the little alignment tab doesn't have arrows on it. The harder you squeeze the caliper the lower the reading. That puts some 'subjectivity' into the readings. The calipers that have alignment arrows don't appear to have a slide. Since you'd have to have someone look at the alignment arrows while they apply the caliper, they'd be able to also read the calipers at that time, eliminating the need for the slide. But it would still be nice.I think this particular caliper is designed so a person can use them without assistance. It takes a little time to get the correct feel and even then your readings may not be as consistent as they would be if you had someone helping you take the readings. So the question becomes, do you want to have someone help you take the readings all the time or not? A lot of the fat percent calculators that are available online have some measurements that you pretty much have to have someone else take for you anyway. A measurement on your back, below your shoulder blade, for example. I think you probably get more accurate readings with a caliper with alignment arrows and a helper. At any rate; these are what they are described as and they are fairly durable, as far as being dropped on a hard floor and not breaking.

Easy to use, great customer service, great calipers for beginners or those on a budget!
I had a few rocky issues at first with packaging and afraid that I had been jipped of my order. However, I spoke with customer service and they delivered a new package right away. Very easy to deal with, and they delivered a brand new product right on time. What I like about the calipers is their affordable cost, and simple measurement. You simply pinch the skin, collapse the clamps, read the number, and voila! You have your reading. I also am a huge fan of the tape measurer and am glad they come in a package together. These are just what I needed for my beginning personal training side job, and I am pumped to get to use these more with new clients. Of course, they won't be 100% accurate as compared to more professional ones (costing upwards of $200) however, these will land you in a very close ball park that make them worth it.

Might be fine for low body fat customers but not high enough quality for people trying to lose serious weight
The package arrived on time and the product looks exactly like the picture. The reason I'm rating this lower is because the plastic it's made OD is a bit flimsy and isn't really the quality I was hoping for. I'll be looking for metal calipers instead because these have a decent amount of "give" to them because they are of a flexible plastic construction. I got several different readings based on how hard I squeezed because the plastic bent, so you really can't trust the reading. If you are a tiny person with a small amount of body fat to measure, then these may work fine for you. However, most people buying this are doing it because they are a little heavier and are attempting to measure weight loss. For those people this isn't a quality reading instrument.

I bought them mainly for the caliper but the tape measure is nice to have because it's easy to use
I need to keep track of my measurements so I can monitor my fitness progress. These tools seemed to be just what I needed. I bought them mainly for the caliper but the tape measure is nice to have because it's easy to use. I can insert the end of the tape in the groove of the tape holder for an accurate and easy measurement. The fat caliper is kind of tricky to use, especially by myself. It's made of plastic that's on the flimsy side so I have to be careful not to squeeze it too hard to avoid inaccurate measurements and breakage. I don't think it's 100% accurate but it's still a good tool to keep track of my fat changes.

Cheap Plastic makes this an unreliable tool
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I don't know why people rated this highly, which is part of my frustration. For an instrument that's supposed to measure in millimeters, it's highly inaccurate. I realize this thing is less than 10 dollars but something that's supposed to tell you what your body fat percentage is, this thing will give you a 'ball park' at best...Here's the issue: it's cheap plastic. When you apply pressure in order to make the pinch, there is ALOT of bending going on. This bending can mess up your reading up to 10 mm! I understand there is that 'press' thumb grip which is supposed to indicate when to stop applying force, but it doesn't work. It gets caught up on the arm half the time and there is ZERO tactile feedback to indicate when to stop applying force in order to get the correct measurement. While the measuring tape is cool and all, the calipers are garbage. Buy something metal.

Good tool for getting in shape
Good investment for anyone that is trying to get in shape. It seemed fairly accurate as I took several readings across three sites and they were all the same. I didn't use the graph that comes with it I went online to a calculator where you input your readings and it calculates your percentage. Like others have stated it does feel a little cheaply made so do be careful when handling. All in all a good product and would recommend.

Decent for personal use
The measuring tape itself starts at 2 inches, not 0. This is fine for personal needs and various body measurements (as I know to deduct 2 inches). However, I would not recommend this for personal trainers or any other professionals who are looking to add to their tools. The calipers themselves, again, are decent for at-home personal use, however, I do feel that they could be a little better quality. Overall, I do feel that this set was good for the price, especially considering they were intended for at-home, personal use. I would recommend to others who have the same intention for the use of this product.

Crappy stuff
The fat caliper was really unreliable since it doesnt Show if u apply the right amount of preasure. Ive tried several other ones before this that was actually reliable. The chart that came along with it was totally useless, but that doesn't really matter since u can find charts for that online. The measuring tape was ok.
