Excellent! Well-Built Fence! Great buy!
My wife and I examined many different similar products before deciding on this item. We are very pleased we bought it.The item came very well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with strongly-taped corners and edges. The fence comes assembled, which is terrific! Inside the box, styrofoam sheets and pieces protected the item along with small cardboard and pieces of sponge to keep the pieces of the fence well protected during shipping! Ours came intact with no damage via USPS--amazingly still no damage. The fence is nice looking with the white trim and black wiring and silver hinges/hardware. Right out of the box, the fence unfolds easily and each section can fold forward and backward making it easy to bend it where you need it as a fence or in two shapes as a fenced-in area--octagon or rectangle. These are big panels and thus the box is big. This is 12 feet of fencing, too, so the box will be a little heavy for some, but not too bad overall. What helps it not be too heavy, compared to some similar products, is the thin thickness (depth) of each panel, so it folds up into a smaller space than other products that have each panel measuring in at 4-inches deep! The smaller thickness does not seem to be a problem at all in terms of quality or what works, so we're glad we picked this option. Also, the panels are 30 inches tall and 24 inches wide, so it helps keep small children and probably most dogs contained--except for dogs who can jump 30 inches or who might ram the fence. There are two support pieces for the fence (and the bottom of each is covered with a soft, protecting pad to avoid scuffing your floor), but they won't be strong enough to keep the fence from being pushed or knocked over with sufficient force when the fence is set up end-to-end. They are sufficient for normal bracing, however. We have our fence spanning an opening of about 9 feet with some parts of the end panels braced behind the refrigerator and a piece of furniture in the corner of the dining room. That gives it plenty of strength. The fence will move back and forth as you pass through or touch it since it's not locked into the ground, but that's not the purpose of this fence and therefore not an issue. You might want some self-stick felt pads at different spots on the bottom of the fence in spots if it rubs against your wood or tile floor to avoid any potential damage. Some others, I believe, wrote reviews that the screws for the two latches weren't sufficient, but that's not what we found. You only have to put on the two latches with four, small screws, which is pretty easy. However, I wish the starter holes for each screw were a bit deeper as it's hard to get them started. I found it easier to use a manual screwdriver rather than my electric one. It's hard to put the screws in with the fence standing, so if you can lay open the fence with the gate part against the hard floor, you'll find it easier to put them in, I think. Once in, the latches work great and we only use the top one to keep the puppies in the kitchen/dining room, making it easy for us to go in and out using just one latch. The gate opens only in one direction. It is not a swinging gate that goes both ways. Not an issue--but just so you know. However, the gate does open 180 degrees so it can lay flat against one side of the fence rather than sticking out at a 45 degree angle making a traffic hazard. A great feature! We're enjoying it and it came quicker than predicted, which was very nice. We can recommend this product highly. It will help keep grandchildren or your own little ones safe and out of the kitchen during the holidays--depending on how big your area is.Enjoy!

Sturdy, functional, and looks great too!!
Exactly what I needed! I bought the 12ft by 30” gate. It fit great in the 9ft opening between my living room and kitchen, and I actually have one panel to spare (it’s tucked behind the gray dresser in the pictures). The gate panels hinge in both directions making it easy to fit almost any configuration. The gate opening is super convenient, there are two latches that open separately, but I found just latching the top one works well. It’s sturdy and stays in place. There are rubber pads on the panels that prevent scraping. Overall, highly recommended!

Super happy
I am thrilled with this gate. It’s very sturdy, and surprisingly well built. It’s not going to be easy for our dogs or toddler to knock over.Easy setup - I literally opened the box, stood it up, put on the feet and it was done. The finish doesn’t look high end but it’s not bad either. The metal is solid, and the wood seems to be pretty good as well. The hinges seem a bit dainty for how sturdy the rest of it is, but so far so good.Overall, I’m very very happy with it, and even impressed for the price.

Sturdy and did the job for 2 years
We have used this gate as a barrier and visual reminder to our very food motivated lab and counter surfing doodle to stay out of the kitchen. For a little over 2 years, it has served it's purpose. While it would have been nice for it to have at least 1 more foot in the middle to stabilize it better, it is sturdy and easy to set up and reconfigure as needed. The hinges are not the strongest and loosen quickly. After about 6 months, one set of screws became stripped and would no longer tighten, so we added an anchor to it. It has now given up completely and is zip tied together until we find something else. It did scuff my cabinets, but I can just paint over. Was it worth $100? To us, yes. It kept our dogs out of the kitchen for the most part (until my lab figured out how to move it). Overall, this gate was effective and did what we needed it to do.

Sturdy gate and nice looking
I bought one new loved it and bought another that said used/new and it seems good. I haven’t used it as it came after the time I needed it. They do the trick and I can use it in many areas. It’s heavy enough so the dogs can move it.

Absolutely more than i expected!!! A must buy!!!!! A must HAVE!!!!
I bought this for my five dogs who are all of different heights, a golden retriever and a few kokoni and Pomeranian mixes, so 75lbs and 10-15 lbs . The height on this is perfect and keeps them from jumping over it easily. the look is modern and clean with the metal black grate in the middle and pure white wood. it is sturdy and well made, all the joints are perfect. DOUBLE HINGED!!!! i wasn't expecting that for the price!!! what a bonus, that will keep it from breaking for years on top of that it makes it easy to move and fit exactly where you need it. I buy a lot on amazon , and i don't take the time to write a lot of reviews but this for the price and quality and already put together was exceptional so I thought I would share with everyone! shipping came quick packing worked and came in a box with some padding, arrived with out a mark or dent on it. oh and did i forget the feet are perfect!!! they are a wedge that has foam so when you put it on the gate where every you like and it dosen't cause damage or marks but is firm and secure, which makes it easy to move and adjust!!!! A must buy for someone with dogs that wants something thats easily foldable stylish and clean looking without feeling like you have a play pen.
