The Metronome is fantastic but the tuning mode is only really good on string instruments.
Fantastic metronome.

Read this if you can't get it to start up out of the box
It's a musician's Swiss army knife of awesome tools wrapped up in a stylish techy watch. But read this first if you have had issues getting it to work...I nearly sent it back thinking it was faulty and I noticed that a few people have had the same complaint. They unbox it, attach the charger and it doesn't charge or power up. Here are 3 things to draw attention to:1. You have to charge it for 30 mins maximum first. You won't see a battery bar for the first charge. Wait for a http address to light up on the screen and type it into your phone.2. There are two dark grey transparent plastic caps to both ends of the charging cable. This wasn't initially obvious to me as the watch's end of the cable easily attached via the magnet with the cap on and it looked like part of it.3. The only way the watch will switch on for the first time is via the phone app. You have to download the app, stick on your Bluetooth and find the watch. Once it connects, it fires up.These steps may seem obvious but the setup is not as intuitive as other 'smart' gadgets. You don't get a charging status bar (until after it switches on for the first time) and you can't turn the watch on without setting it up off the app first. If Soundbrenner made the setup totally idiot proof or provided clearer instructions inside the box (the online video is better) , I'd give it 5 stars. However it is a 5 star product and I can testify it does everything it says on the tin.

Excellent product. Essential tool for musicians. The Core Steel is elegant and functional. I would recommend the upgrade if you are thinking about getting this product.

Excellent musicians tool with a sleek design
I'm very happy with this product. You get the option of attaching it to a larger strap so that it can go around any part of your body you prefer. This can be useful if it gets in the way of your playing when it's on your wrist. You can configure the metronome setting through the free app or on the watch itself. The tap tempo feature is a very useful to me.The tuner is responsive and I love how it magnetises directly onto the back of my guitar tuning keys without the need for the included magnet mount. The SPL/decibel meter seems pretty good and can give you a warning when things get too loud. Personally though, I have the warning feature switched off because I mostly use the Soundbrenner Core when playing drums (hard) so it goes without saying that I should be using ear protection at all times. It is probably worth mentioning that the app/push notifications feature is not available yet, but the guys at Soundbrenner are planning to release an update by the end of Q1 2020 which will enable this.I went for the Core Steel with brown leather strap and it really does look great.

Doesn't charge at all!! And has a HUGE charging cable..
I don't know if it is product's problem or just sender gave me a faulty one but it doesn't charge. When I plug that green 'LITTLE' cable (By the way, why a company give 10 cm cable that has a unique pins so you can't use any other cables) it shows charging signal at the beginning but suddenly it stops charging and usb end on the cable warms up ( when I say "warms up" I mean yo can literally cook couple of eggs on it). I am sending back, think twice when you buy it.

Not strong enough vibration.
It's a cool watch, basic smart watch functions and the metronome function is very good. It's just the vibration isn't enough for me to feel it properly when I'm in the zone concentrating on the music. I have to slow down and pay attention to my wrist to be able to feel it.

Overall really good
This is a great product and has helped me with tempo’s whilst drumming in a band. Especially when adrenaline takes over sometimes in a gig situation. The app works great and the Bluetooth sync is very quick and stable. You can upload songs and create set lists which is perfect for playing live.I’d say the only downside for me is the ease of use of the watch itself. I just don’t find it that intuitive and find toggling between functions a bit clumsy. Maybe just me and others won’t find this at all. But I’ve used for a month now and still struggle with it’s (or my!) clumsiness. Once set up though it’s great.

Read the reviews (why I'm not buying)
From all the reviews here on Amazon, I won't be buying sadly, though the very innovative and promising features lured me in. It's a shame to hear that not enough has been put into quality and strength of design and the steel version sounds a bit heavy for my wrist at 68g.Keep developing Soundbrenner and let us know when you have a flawless product that can impress fussy creatives and last.Concerns about non-replaceable battery, quality of design and materials, paying a high price for an apparent gimmick and 4 features, which according to reviews each have potential faults and limitations. Connected app premium not included?Good luck with the future!
