It's not a normal solenoid valve. It never completely shut off. It's for RO water filter systems. It does not work for my application, but I still kept it, since the T's and manual valves alone cost more than what I paid for this set had I bought them from Lowe's.Seller can do a better job in the product description.

Utter junk. The valve does not seal all the way and water leaks past the diaphragm; it lets water pass at all pressures. Skip this one.

So, the solenoid is all but useless. I was going to use it in conjunction with a water level indicator to provide an automatic top off for my salt water aquarium (as water would evaporate the sensor would be tripped activating this to let water in from my reverse osmosis line). The water line is fairly low pressure, I'm on a well at 50-60psi and reverse osmosis usually cuts that at least in half, so lets say 30 psi. That was apparently WAY too much for this. In the off position I got a small stream, in the on position I got a flood. So yeah, as I said, USELESS. Thought maybe I got a lemon so did an exchange for another and it was as bad or worse.As is common with this cheap Chinese crap they throw in extras so that most people will say "oh well, at least I got SOMETHING..." So, if you need a bag full of quick connects I guess this is a decent deal, but given the reliability of the solenoid I don't know that I would trust them to keep my house from flooding....
