I have never written a review but I am doing it in hopes that it might help someone who is in as much pain as I was. I have a slipped disc that is pinching my sciatic nerve. I have been in pain for two months. My doctor prescribed ibuprofen, steroids, antidepressants and physical therapy. The pain was so debilitating that I was not able to function, just showering and getting dressed was on ordeal that required my husband’s help. An orthopedic surgeon recommended cortisone shots before we considered surgery. I’ve had three shots. The fist did nothing. I spent mother’s day and my birthday in the ER. I was given heavy duty painkillers and muscle relaxants. Those didn’t help and I was afraid of becoming addicted to them. The second helped to a degree, I was okay for a few hours of the day then the pain was back. The third shot seemed to help. I was able to find a comfortable position and sleep at night. The mornings were good but by mid day was in pain again and needed to lay down again. I was ready to consider having surgery but decided to try a few things before I went that rout. This brace was one of those things. I have worn it for two days and already I see a difference. It is 6:00 in the evening and I have been able to function all day, even danced with my kids for a little while. Obviously this brace is not fixing the problem, but it relieves the pain long enough to get through the day and do the physical therapy that my body requires. Back surgery is serious business and a six week recovery period is something most of us can’t afford. Do yourself a favor and try this brace before you consider surgery. Yes, the brace stinks a little, wash it. Yes, it is inconvenient when you go to the bathroom, but if you are in that much pain, it is the least of your worries. No, it is not pretty to wear over your clothes, but again would you rather continue being in pain. I will wear this thing all day everyday if it means I can take care of my kids, go to work, and just have my life back.

I fell recently and injured my groin. I've never had this before, but I found that if I held pressure on the area, the pain went away. Did a search and found this product. The minute I put it on I felt better. Both the pain in my groin and my lower back (I had just gotten home from work and had been standing most of the day) felt much better with the support. I'm unable to just sit and rest it out until this heals, so I am hoping this will do the trick. Sure does feel like it will.I ordered a size large. I am a plus-size (probably 2x or 3x) and the belt part does go around me. My fear was that with my size, the belt would be too tight and it might not be comfortable or that I wouldn't be able to get it around me at all. I did! I don't look as pretty as the pictures that come with it, but it works - and that's all I ask. I'm wearing it under my pants (scrubs, so they're pretty forgiving).

Apparently NO quality control. I ordered 2Both came apart first time they were worn.I like how they made my hip feel, until they came apart first day.but because of Amazon's great 30 day return policy I will reorder and try again.

I really liked the product BUT only last less than 30 days... I’m a 136 lbs woman so as you can tell I wasn’t a big area to cover, I’m so disappointed of the quality because I thought that this was my solution for my pain

I have had Lyme Disease for 16 years because of it I have the WORST siatica nerve pain from my lower back to my hip running down my thigh, I couldn't sit, stand, or lie down without being in excruciating pain I found this and haven’t looked back since! This has relieved so much pain and has made it so I can rest and relax in peace!!! Cannot recommend enough, if you are on the fence on getting it please let this be the review that pushes you over the edge!!! (i didn't get paid to post this, just really grateful because I am in the hospital all the time on meds that don't do as much as this does for my pain) I am 20 Years old, 113 Pounds 5'3 and got a black, small (this is for any age) Hope that helps with the size!

My husband has a sore back and we bought this belt to help. It seemed to be working but after a few days the seam of the belt unravelled. Very disappointed in quality of manufacture. Would like a replacement belt that has been through a quality assurance check.

The seam on the waist strap came un-threaded. I had to sew back up the 4 inch seam which was not easy since it is a quarter inch of neoprene. The next problem was the waist velcro strap stopped "sticking". As a result I could not tighten up the waist band because the velcro strap would not fastening itself....their was no way to tighten up waist. All this happened about 45 days after I bought this compression brace and now I am out $30 because I can not return this worthless piece of junk.

A friend was having perpetual hip issues and the hospital just kept giving her pain relievers and the specialist would not come up with anything final as to what was going on. I asked them if there was anything the doctor said they should try and the doctor had just said to stay off of it.I found this brace here on Amazon and purchased it for her and she tried it and it worked miracles. She went from having to use a walker and constantly still falling over to walking nearly pain free without any assistance. She has been cleared to return to her work.The one issue she has with this brace is that it builds up sweat underneath it and that causes it to get uncomfortable. We have suggested wearing mesh or hose beneath it and this has helped some.
