The handle is very solid and does not feel cheap. The fit is generally ok but it is very hard to screw in both of the supplied screws using the included Allen wrench. The screw-holds do not line up easily. Also, you MUST turn the metal tip inside of the lock to point in the middle. Otherwise, the lock will NOT work in both directions! See the attached photo. The manual doesn't mention this at all. Fingerprint reader works well but is more reliable when your fingers aren't dry (use lotion folks).

I really wanted to like this fingerprint lock but I was never able to get it to the installation point of trying it out. I rent out my guest rooms to traveling nurses and wanted a lock for my master ensuite when I'm not home that looked like it belonged on a bedroom door rather than a deadbolt and this seemed like a cool high-tech option. Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations... the installation was horrible. I had to stop after a certain point & try again several days later out of sheer frustration. I've installed numerous door handles and locks, including those on my front door, which includes a keyless entry lock, but the pieces on this item would not fit together properly and the installation instructions weren't great. Also my handles looked scratched, I couldn't tell if there was a protective clear peel on top of the finish or if it was part of the finish. The strike plate that came with it was very cheap looking and once the blue covering was removed it was sticky. The bright side of this purchase was the easy return via Amazon and quick refund of my money.I decided to purchase a Berlin Modisch entry lever door handle lock instead and settle for using a key. :) Hope this was helpful.

here's an update...the app requires you to connect to the internet in order to program the fingerprint recognition...why would that be required?the reader is also very unreliable and fails to recognize the finger print most of the time...yet when setting a fingerprint up it goes there a whole series of identification...highly suspicious.it comes with an extension for the bolts, but leaves a gap between the door and the lock when fully installed.the unit is difficult to install. it uses a hex wrench that has to be used in the L shape to get behind the handle to screw the bolts in.it also doesn't seem to work with with my fingerprints. i have to delete and re-record it.the app also has to be connected to the internet in order to transfer the fingerprint to the handle...so where is that fingerprint going? China maybe since that's where the product is from...

Everything seems to work very well. I love the fingerprint reader. It's very sensitive but cannot read when your finger is wet. But who cares, even you can unlock a smartphone with a wet hand. Overall, the material is very strong. Plastic from the outside but look very sturdy. The thing you should be aware of is the metal connecting both handles. There is an arrow that needs to point inside your room and faces to the lock side. It's a cylinder metal so you will know where to point. This part is very important and tries before you assemble. It won't work if the arrow in the wrong side. So it best to try all the sides if you don't know which side to put. In a word, very good product and easy to assemble.

What a great thing there is nothing hard about the install provided that you a knoledge of installing regular door knobs. Programing it was a breeze as well which is a good thing because there is not much as far as directions. I would say make sure you have clean hands and you wipe down the finger print pad right before programing after which I haven't had no problems with how it works it never misses on any try great product I'd like to say anyone can install but yhat wouldn't be true you need a basic idea of how door locks work. Only problem is now I wish I had one on every door as they are secure as hell theres no way to pick it no way to jimmy it with a screw driver or credit card and when in the locked mode the outter knob is disengaged so it turns without any connectivity.

I bought these for our bedroom doors to keep our children out of our room. I love the concept but I have a few issues with them. I feel the fingerprint reader should be a bit bigger. The reader is a bit too small for my husband's thumb. Sometimes the locks work perfectly other times it does not recognize my thumb. I had to install another finger and sometimes it still can multiple tries to get in the door. It worked perfectly for my husband for about a month now it no longer lets him in. I did contact customer service but I didn't get far. The only way my husband can get in the room is if he uses the app.

It says to plug it in for 2 hours and itll be good for 1 year, then later there are contradicting instructions saying it takes 4 AAA batteries, then why does it have a charger?. Tge programming appeara to be backwards. You should scan your finger to unlock momentarily long enough to open the door (like a motel room door), but it stays unlocked until you scan your finger and momentarily locks before automatically unlocking again

This is the second lock that was broken and are missing parts. It is also not an easy install unless you have really small fingers. I wish it would’ve worked out.
