I haven't cooked pancakes in decades. But after an extreme weight loss, decided I could up my carb calories by including pancakes to my diet.The pan came pre-seasoned, so just washed it lightly with hot water for the first use. I applied a very light coating of the only oil I had on hand, Avocado oil, and made up a small batch of batter. The pancakes turned a nice even brown on the griddle with no burning. They cooked well when flipped and came out tasty with real butter and maple syrup on top. Yummy. The griddle was super easy to clean after use.I'm glad I bought it. It will get used many times in the future and will leave it as part of my heirloom collection for my son when I'm gone.

It is a great little griddle, the price also great. I use it for my home made tortillas. It is exactly what I needed. The weight of the cast iron is perfect.
