DIY Glass Sliding Barn Door, 36 inches x 84 inches, White, with Barn Door Hardware Kit，Need to Assemble

Really heavy door. Good value. The door itself is relatively easy to assemble. I had to really think about the hanging, though. This door is HEAVY.The long screws they give you to put the track in the wall came with these plastic drywall anchors that in my opinion in no way shape or form could’ve held this door. So I went to Lowe’s and bought a 2 x 4, laying it down on the ground in the store to make sure that it was flat. I cut it to 79 inches. Painted it to match the wall. Frustratingly found four studs to attach it to with 4 inch lag screws. You have to make sure that that two by fours level as you put it up and that your measurement from the floor to the middle of that 2 x 4 is accurate. I was able to get the 2 x 4 it by myself although it was difficult. I ended up having to have my son come and help me put the rail on because it really needs three or four hands. Not that it’s heavy, it’s just cumbersome. Then you sync those leg bolts they give you into the 2 x 4 and then hang the door. I didn’t use the doorhandle they gave me I bought a different one on Amazon. They only give you a door handle for one side, and my thought was what happens when you’re on the other side of the door. So I bought one that had two sides to it. Overall a really great purchase. It looks fantastic.

This is our first sliding barn door, and we love it. It has a very modern and elegant look, super easy and smooth to slide open and close. It took me few hours to installed which I think is not bad since I am a total noob about this kind of things. The quality of the door and the hardware that comes with are super durable. I got so many compliments from friends who visited my house and saw this barn door, they all asked me where to get it. After I told them that it only cost around $350, they all wanted even more. I’m thinking about replacing my master bedroom closets to this barn door too. Highly recommended.

This door looks great and is so easy to install! My only suggestion would be to offer an option to purchase a header to install over the door for mounting the iron bar to. The instructions suggest using one, and we did, but it was inconvenient to have to purchase one and paint it before installing the door. If I could have purchased one at the same time I ordered the door it would have made the install quicker. I will definitely be buying another one of these doors to use in my master bathroom. Great value and adds a nice feature to a simple doorway.

We bought a door from another site for our laundry room and it was cheap, and light and flimsy. So we gave it another shot and tried this one. This is an extremely heavy door which is a great thing. We wanted some ability to soften noise from the laundry room but wanted the barnyard door. It did come with a good sized chip on one panel which is my only reason for not giving it all five stars. It’s very solid, easy to put together, and it slides well. We have some problems such as the handle we want not being able to work because of the existing door frame. But it’s not because of the door. Only one side of the glass has texture so be sure to notice that when you are putting it together. Overall I would recommend!

I love this door.. I wanted a barn door but not the old style since my house is more modern so this is a perfect modern looking door with a touch of barn door genes... We used this to cover a bedroom closet opening. The door was simple to put together. I was able to mess that up. The bottom peice of the door was put on upside-down. You could not tell if you had the slot for the glass up or down. I had to flip it over once we had the door up and couldn't get the slide to work. I'm glad that they didn't use the wood pins for this one.I wish the material was better.

These are nice doors. They are a bit heavy they come in three boxes will deliver. It took about 30 minutes to Build them. The tracks holes are 16 inches on center which worked great except that a full wall I had to drill my own holes to hold the weight on a stud rather then the drywall. The only other thing I did was put a small hole in the back of the door with an insert so you can open and close it nicely And still be flush.

Pretty easy to follow instructions. I thought the drywall anchors were junk and I had to prime and paint a 1x8 board and nail that to studs. Then I predrilled holes with a bit one size smaller then lag screws that hold the track to the wall. I also used thread lock when assembling the door to insure that the bolts don't loosen with use. Great door that uses little space to separate our bedroom from our walk through closet and bathroom.
