Our great grandchildren loved these. Very nice specimens of geodes. They had no trouble breaking them open at ages 6 & 3.

Our family had an absolute blast with the Discovery Break Your Own Geodes Science Kit. We spent a sunny Saturday afternoon in the backyard, eager to uncover the hidden treasures inside these 'science stones'.The kit comes with three large premium geodes. My kids (and, okay, I'll admit, the adults too) were full of anticipation as we each took turns with the hammer, gently cracking our geodes. When they finally broke open to reveal the sparkly, crystal-filled interiors, the looks on the kids' faces were priceless!This wasn't just fun, it was educational too. The kids got hands-on experience learning about geology, and the detailed information included in the kit sparked their curiosity about the natural world. My youngest even declared that she wants to be a 'rock scientist' when she grows up.Cleanup was a breeze - just a quick sweep of the fragments, and we were done. The kids have proudly displayed their broken geodes on their bedroom shelves, a lovely reminder of our fun and educational afternoon together.I recommend the Discovery Break Your Own Geodes Science Kit. My grandson loved breaking these and seeing the beauty inside. The reason I gave it a 4 rating is because all 3 geodes were too easy to break. I think he would have enjoyed working a little harder to break at least one. All in all, I’m satisfied with the purchase.

These are okay- decent geodes. My beef is that they are not large/premium as the title says. They were only about an inch and a half each. The largest of the three may have been two inches max. Might as well buy the kit with more of the small to medium geodes because these are essentially the same size as those and you get more for your money.

These ROCK (pun intended). These are just fun. This is a project to do with your little humans. They don't know the value of a diamond, ruby, etc - they see shiny and that is the "price". These are fun with whatever you get inside. I'm sure they're hit or miss (no pun intended) but that is to be expected. No idea what they're selling or what you're buying until they're broken open.

My three kids (preschool to teenage) were all able to easily break the geode open and the crystals were all differentnand really pretty!
