Great roving style yarn, but NOT a 4 weight.
I love this yarn, it’s soft, the colors are beautiful… however this is not a 4 weight. Roving goes from thick to thin, that is the nature of the roving. However, the weight classification is meant to show what it averages out to. If you just look at the amount of yardage compared to grams, it clearly is not a 4 weight. This is a thick 2, thin 3, at best. It stays in the 2 weight category for the most part, sometimes goes to a 3, and very rarely ever reaches a 4. I’m okay with this, it just means my project turned out smaller than I anticipated. That’s okay tho. If you are making a garment, get extra. Measure how much you’ll need based on the weight, not the yardage. Other than that I do love this yarn, wish it wasn’t so fuzzy but I get that it’s trying to look like wool.

Beautiful!!!
I bought a ton of these, I'm making shawls from them. I'm still working on the first one, and it is turning out beautifully. This yarn feels so soft and it's easy to work with. The only issue I have is I'm pretty new to crocheting, and I had to frog my work a lot in the beginning. If you happen to make a lot of mistakes, be careful with this yarn because there's a part of this shawl that has a bunch of slip stitches in a row, and I make them really tight. When I pull at them, sometimes they're stuck and I have to really pull at it, and I snapped it a few times. I'm getting better at it though, and I bought this yarn in the green color too so I could make matching shawls in two colors. Don't mind my placement of dragonflies in the picture, I know they're wonky, I stopped watching the tutorial after I completed the third row of them, and I'm just putting them where i want now. This color is gorgeous, and I can't wait to try the green next!

Great color combo
I'm a crochet beginner and wanted some fun, low-cost yarn to play around with. The variegated color combo ("Ferris Wheel) of this Lion acrylic yarn appealed to me and the cost was extremely reasonable for a 270 yd. ball, so I ordered 2 of them. (It took just over 1 ball to make a scarf using the moss/linen stitch, which is a tight weave.) The colors are great - see photo of finished scarf - and people frequently asked where I got the yarn when they saw me working with it. It's not super-soft but it's not coarse, either. I found it pretty easy to work with, except that some of the color sections were fluffier than others and had more of a tendency to fray.

Soft and fun to knit with
I made a baby blanket using two strands held together. The blanket knit up fast on thick needles. As the picture shows, the striping looks good.

Colors and weight of Ferris wheel yarn
If you want a fine yarn this is it. It would work very well for baby items and light weight projects. Ferris wheel comes in beautiful colors. Would buy again.

Wild Violet
I’ve never used this particular yarn before but it was on sale for a great price. It’s very pretty & I can’t wait to crochet with it. It’s labeled as a 4 weight but I would consider it a 3.

Soft, mega yardage yarn.
I needed one ball of this yarn to finish a scarf I had started, and ended up with more balls than I needed, but that's ok. It's super soft and each ball has a lot of yardage. I'm enjoying knitting with it, and hope that it will wear (and wash up) well.
