ionClarifying Shampoo, Removes BuildUp and Residue, Vegan, Safe for ChemicallyTreated Hair

I love using this shampoo to get my locs clean. It’s lightweight and does a great job cleaning your hair with no residue left behind. Just leaves you feeling clean and with a nice smell.

I've been using this for years, and it usually means a trip to Sally Beauty Supply, so I was lucky to have found it on Amazon. I wash my hair about once or twice a week, and the hairspray really builds up. This product removes that buildup without sucking the moisture out of the hair strands. I've tried the Neutrogena and a few others but this is the only one for me. I have long hair and can't risk the damage that other clarifiers do.

Love how this smells and seems to work well. I use it once per week of every 2 weeks. I only wash my hair once a week but condition and use product in between so it takes all that out and restores my volume. I have dry curly hair.

I've been using only Ion hair products since the beginning of 2023. I never had a reason to use this product until we got hard water with softener in it. It left my hair very dull and left a lot of salt buildup on my scalp. This shampoo helped quite a bit.It kind of smells like sprite? That's the only "bad" thing about it (which isn't actually bad because I think it smells good). Would recommend for people with hard OR super softened water.

Does exactly what it says it does, clarifies, removes all heavy oils and styling products, so it is good for fine, thin hair. Not for color treated hair as it will remove color. Fragrance is a light citrus which is very light and does not interfere with your own cologne choices. Would recommend for all of the above reasons.

I was looking for a shampoo to counter hard water from wells that tend to build up on my hair, giving it a really dull look with lots of breakage.Ion shampoo and conditioner is a great daily treatment to combat the damaging effects of hard water. They really make a huge difference in my hair, even after just one use.

I don’t use this often because of our well-water*; generally only if I’ve used a styling product that contains silicones and need to make sure they’re removed properly.But it’s been pretty nice the few times I have used it:Not over-stripping or over drying. Smells nice. Lathers wells.Can’t get much better than that for a clarifying shampoo.(*Minerals in some hard-water can interact with sulphates so I generally use their Hard Water Shampoo for clarifying washes instead.)

I love the product itself. I have been using it for the last few years now. We used to have well water (hard water) and this shampoo was great for reducing buildup in my hair (I would rotate it with my regular shampoo). However, this is the first time I have ordered it online, as we just moved. The box it came in looked like it has been kicked and was leaking. The top of the bottle had opened in transit. I thought that maybe the foil seal had been punctured, but when I screwed the top off there was no foil! Apparently, this is common for shampoos and conditioners. Thankfully, the only thing in the box was the shampoo, so it didn't ruin any other purchases. I won't be purchasing from it online again (at least not from this seller).

The item has leakage when I opened the plastic package. I will update the review again once I’ve used the item. Thanks!
