I was anticipating this strong scent of Tea Tree oil which is one of the few essential oils that you can use neat, but I was pleasantly surprised. In fact it did not smell like tea tree at all nor did it make my scalp tingle. The smell was not strong or perfume-y and would be good for men as well as women. It provided a nice amount of lather, which is often not the case with sulfate-free shampoos, and it left my hair literally squeaky clean. The only thing is I wish there was a conditioner to go with it as I did need to use a conditioner to de-tangle my fine hair. It made my hair shiny and did not strip the color since I do color my hair. Originally, the first bottle I received did not have a pump and since I have balance issues I could not use it right away. However I contacted the company and they sent me another bottle that did have a pump. Great customer service.

I don't have dandruff, but my scalp was itchy. My skin is also dry and I moisturize every day. I've only used this shampoo once and OMG, what a difference. You do need to wash, rinse and repeat. First shampoo did not produce much suds. Second shampoo produced more suds and the smell is minty and refreshing. I used another company's conditioner and am pleased with the results. My scalp is not itchy and my dry hair is so soft that I needed to all gel and hairspray to style.

It doesn’t have the peppermint tea tree smell nor at all the tingling feeling. I have psoriasis and I buy Paul Mitchell Tea Tree and it makes my scalp feel so good. No scalp problems anymore. No irritation or itchy. This one has irritated my scalp. Back to Paul Mitchell. It is worth $34 I pay for the same size. This shampoo does make my hair soft though where Paul Mitchell dries it out. I get enough lather because I have short hair. It does feel like conditioner in the hair. I think that is the problem with me because I can’t use conditioner. It isn’t for me. I wanted to try it because of the cost, cheaper. But if you have scalp issues like me, it doesn’t help.

Ever since I had my daughter 1 year ago i've been struggling with a very oily scalp and hair. I read that tea tree oil shampoos could help with excess oil so I ordered this. I have very thin, short, straight hair so oil build up is noticeable very quickly and I have to wash my hair daily. This shampoo seemed so help somewhat with the oil problem but it would leave my hair feeling like straw and I would have to use a ton of conditioner. It did make my hair feel clean and not weighed down but I just couldn't get past the fact that it dried my hair so badly.

The smell of the product was invigorating. Exactly what I expected from Tea Tree and peppermint. I expected to feel a "tingle" as I usually do with most tea tree/peppermint hair products, but it wasn't there. This did not take away from the cleansing power of the shampoo. The shampoo is really good for clarifying your hair if buildup and oils. May not be the best choice for African American hair as it seemed to"strip" my hair and it took a couple of days and additional oil treatments to restore my hair back to a manageble condition.

Very thin and non-lathering, but smells nice. I have extremely thick hair that’s barely touching my shoulders, and I have to use ridiculous amounts of this to get enough to run through my hair; I’ll be finished with this bottle fast. My hand gets sore from the pumping- I wish this shampoo spread easier and was thicker, instead of being like water. It hasn’t helped my light dandruff or scalp at all, either. No cooling sensation.

I ordered this because my hair had been feeling like straw and also, because when the weather cools my skin tends to get very dry and to itch a lot. I have only used this shampoo for two days and already my hair is feeling better to the touch. I think this is due to the tea tree oil in it. I'm hoping it will help moisturize my scalp this winter. It also smells amazing!!!

Had my dreds for 7 years and always switching brands looking for the best shampoo. Think I found it. Really does a nice deep clean and no residue. Bonus: left the bottle in the shower and my wife and kids like it too.Had some trouble with the package due to shipping and the company was great and helpful. So all around great product and service, easiest 5 star I have ever given.
