We've been besieged with calls asking us where to get a quality FM Broadcast antenna. Well, we put one of our best RF engineers to the task and came up with this killer antenna, we call it the Tru-Match 100. Why Tru-Match? Because matching your antenna to your transmitter is the single most important link in your transmitter set-up and a good antenna and match is the secret to maximum range. When we say match we mean electrical impedance match. If the proper impedances are not maintained between transmitter and antenna, power is reflected back away from the antenna and back into the transmitter! This can cause the final amplifier stage to be damaged, not to mention a spurious signal and lousy range. Our antenna kit consists of rugged pre-cut PVC pipe, antenna radiating elements and of course the proper matching assembly and is fully water-resistant when assembled. The antenna is easily mounted to any standard TV antenna mast like you can find at Radio Shack or K-Mart. A standard F style coax connector is used, so that readily available, low cost RG-59 TV coaxial cable can be used for connection. We even supply an RCA phono to F Male adapter for easy connection to any transmitter antenna jack. Total length of the antenna is about five feet, and it is easily mounted horizontally or vertically polarized, we even explain in the manual the pluses and minuses for each. Maximum input power is now 25 watts. If you're serious, and want a good signal, the TM100 antenna is for you!

need to have some skills for this one
better be good at putting things together and have all the right tools..be sure to have someone help you will need ten hands....just not what I was looking for and I ended up spending more money on a pre-made one that is more tunable also

Good transmitter antenna.
If you think you are able to follow the instructions and put all this parts together, this antenna is worth for the price.Just be careful and patient.

Remember this IS a KIT!
It's a KIT! Lol if you are not good at Soldering, this may not be for you..... I had a friend finish this kit for me and it works but not as anticipated..... For the Price...... Not worth it..... Maybe if it was semi assembled at least.....

A footnote on the product
I don't own this antenna yet so take this review for what it is and with a grain of salt. On Ramsey Electronics website and here on Amazon it clearly states that this is a kit and requires soldering. I have seen all the pieces involved and if you have rudimentary skill in putting things together and some basic soldering skills this kit should be pretty straight forward to put together. Also of note Ramsey makes a quality product and I researched this product for some time now and it appears to be heads above the rest at the price point. As far as getting a quality signal out first a quality fm transmitter is needed such as the Ramsey fm30b. At less than $40 this product is a steal. The 16 page manual detailing what it takes to put this product together is readily available on the Ramsey page.

I've built and sold these antennas for 15 years. I find them a bit of a pain to build but none of my customers have ever been hassled by the FCC for being over their impossible to test limits. It's a decent and durable antenna that does the job it claims. It contains a built in matching transformer to achieve proper matching to Ramsey transmitters and many others.
