This item is really useful. Worked right out of the box, no hassle setting up. One item I rather hoped was the inclusion of an "All off" button. But hey can live with this. The addition of another controller makes it doubly useful.!

We’ve had these for about 4 years now and they are extremely reliable. We’ve 5 table lamps and they were a pain to turn on/off due to their locations, but these sockets and remote solved that completely. Far easier and better than a home network device on each socket.

Very easy to configure, the plug sockets and remotes are very compact

Positives they work well and over a long distance and easy to sync to the remote if they dont work straight away, plug it in and just hold in the side button until light flashes then press the button on the remote you want it to sync to. They are marked on the back 1 to 5 so just press the corresponding button. Negatives Wanted to use these in the garden for controlling several things like fountains, different lighting etc to be able to turn on and off without constantly opening the couple of water proof boxes that contain 4 socket extension leads. Unfortunately due to the size of the device and the fact that the setting button is on the side you cant plug 4 of them all into one extension without it activating the sync function as they are a very tight fit. Tried in several different makes but all appear to be of the same standard design and sizing. If it had been designed so the sync button was on the top they would just about squeeze in. So in my case I can only use a max of 2 in the extension lead as the box isnt big enough to take one thats bigger. Just bear this in mind if this is your plan too.

First class product and very useful both for access to hidden mains sockets and from an energy saving and fire safety point of view. I live in a grade 2 listed cottage with a single escape route with ledge and brace doors which I cannot change for fire rated doors. The operation of the remote control to turn off mains supply to all items connected gives me peace of mind in reducing the chance of electrical fire with appliances on 'stand by' mode permitting smoke into the single staircase and hallway to fresh air exit at front of building. Also, there is a significant saving on annual electricity bill by not leaving TV's, stereo systems etc, in stand by mode when not required to be used. I have purchased these items before and had a good number of years successful use until one or more of the inputs on the remote fails and hence replacement now. I consider this to be good value when ( I believe) one TV could cost as much as £60 per year on additional energy charge if left permanently in stand by mode.

Brilliant set of remote control sockets. Each socket is numbered and corresponds with the remote control. It has enabled us to change the position our living room furniture as we no longer have to have access to the lamps in various corners of the room. Saves a lot of bending and squeezing into small spaces.

Turn the appliance on 2. plug the socket plug into the wall 3. plug the appliance into the socket plug 4. press the side button to turn socket plug on (red light comes on) the remote then will switch the appliance off (and on/off as required) and the second remote can immediately switch the appliance on and off with no further intervention. Each socket plug is numbered to match the numbers on the remote control . What’s not to love? - Which is why I think they are excellent!

I wanted to be able to switch one of my TVs completely off rather than in to standby. This was awkward because the switched socket that the TV was plugged into was difficult to access. By putting one of these remote sockets in place, and leaving the master socket switched on, enables me to control the TV at the press of a switch on the remote. Each of the five sockets in the set is numbered and preprogrammed to work with the corresponding numbered buttons on the remote, of which there are two identical.. There is an on and an off button for each socket on each of the remotes. The range is very good, I even found the remote to work for a socket that I had used in my gym room when I was on the floor above. Crucially line of sight is not required, the remotes work even when sockets are behind walls of on another level. These do exactly what I hoped they would do and I have found them very useful. So much so that I bought them for just one specific reason but quickly found use for another two so that I presently have three on the go with two ready whenever needed.
