BLACKSTARamPlug 2 FLY Mini Portable Electric Guitar Headphone Amplifier Plugin Simulator with Built in Effects

Great bit of kit. I purchased another cable to go from my TV headphone output (or you could plug that into a computer headphone output) to go to the aux input on the AMPlug and the I plug my headphones into the headphone output on the plug and then I can hear both the videos on YouTube (I like the play along videos with tabs) and the guitar through the headphones at the same time. Takes a bit of trial and error on the AmPlug and computer/TV volumes so one doesn't drown out the sound of the other, but I've used this for a good year using this method, and I don't annoy my family while playing! Battery life is also decent for the volume you can get out of it. I play for probably 2 to 3 hours per week and I wouldn't expect to change the batteries before a month's playing.

Having used the brilliant Vox AC30 one I was looking for something a bit more versatile that would give me decent middle of the road cleans, overdrive and distortion. This ticks those boxes.. If you have never used one before I can highly recommend it, the sound through a pair of iPhone earpods is incredible and very loud!! The three main channnels of clean, overdrive and distortion sound great, react well to rolling back the volume on your guitar and do have a genuine Blackstar sound. The additional FX do the job although the chorus is a bit naff, as it was on the VoxAC30 version, but the reverbs and delays cover enough ground to allow you to play with some great tones. The ability to connect to your phone/MP3 player and play along with Spotify or the thousands of backing tracks that can be found on YouTube is great. Even though it sounds super loud in your headphones, no one else can hear you.. It is a great practice aid and has made my small 5w valve amp redundant - it actually sound better! Buy with confidence, you will not be disappointed.

This is an absolutely brilliant piece of equipment , if your looking for something to use at night with headphones this is the One to buy !!!No guitar lead needed it plugs straight into your guitar imput then your headphones plug straight into the amp plug 3.5mm Jack socket.It really does sound excellent , with the nice feature of some cool added effects too .I've tried a few of the other makes of these Amp plugs over the years , IMO none of them have been as good as this Blackstar one !!!A☆☆☆☆☆

For such a little, inexpensive piece of kit the sounds this generates are fantastic. Just get your electric, plug in the device, connect your headphones and mobile phone or tablet and you’re rocking. Much less hassle than having to get your amp effects peddles out. The effects are really good. The only problem is that it is really flimsy. I didn’t take care plugging it into the guitar and the casing round the jack broke and is almost impossible to fix. My own fault. The low price reflects this so I recommend it but be really careful plugging it in and unplugging it.

I play guitar regularly for personal enjoyment and I always play through the amPlug since I bought it 2 years ago. I use the reverb effect and dial in my chosen level of gain. I connect my phone to the amPlug AUX input so that I can play over backing tracks. I sometimes also connect the amPlug headphone output to the AUX input of a portable sound system until my family tell me to put my headphones back on :-)

Sounds decent but fell apart after a few weeks. Very weak design and issue has happened to many others looking at the reviews. If i was you Id look somewhere less fragile.

There's a lot of hiss in the background and it's fiddly to use. Sound is ok apart from that. I'd recommend something better.

I was recommended this make as they combine effects, there are lots to choose from with the selection buttons and the usual volume etc. Great practice amp
