Great for hot yoga
Great for hot yoga. Doesn’t slip and has stayed in good shape after washing many times.

Perfect sauna towels!!
If you are looking for a very absorbent towelto use for sopping up a lot of sweat, look no further.I recently purchased myself an infrared sauna and quickly discovered that I did not care for my previously owned hot yoga towels because I could feel the grippy bumps on the hard wooden bench. (Wasn’t as noticeable at Hotworx on a yoga mat and needed the grip so I didn’t faceplant in downward dog!) I didn’t want thick terrycloth style that pills or leaves lint. I wanted soft smoother material and these are perfect. I got the large to lie on the bench and the small to continuously dry off the rolling sweat. They are super soft and unbelievably absorbent! I love the colors. Started with lavender, just ordered pink and plan to get several more so that I’m only doing laundry once a week.

I'VE BEEN USING THIS TOWEL FOR TWO YEARS
While browsing new mat towels, I wanted to know how long I've been using my purple one. I've been using this towel for almost two years. I wash it after every use, I prefer low heat drying. It is still in great shape and feels high quality. I do hot yoga and sweat a lot. The sweat shows on the towel, which I don't love and it's not "nonslip" but also isn't slippery?? However, it's overall a good towel.

A good yoga mat cover
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I wanted a yoga blanket I could use in hot yoga to prevent me from slipping and to protect my mat from sweat. This arrived exactly as pictured. It is a microfiber feel and appears very sturdy quality fabric. The seams are in good repair and the overall blanket is of high quality. The color is as expected and pretty. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because it’s not 100% slip resistant. I have washed it several times now in the washer and ran through the dryer with no issues and the product has held up nicely.

and thought the "#1 Best Hot Yoga Towel
I do hot yoga regularly and wanted to get a new mat towel into the rotation. I was looking for a less expensive option to the Yogitoes Skidless mat towels I currently own, and thought the "#1 Best Hot Yoga Towel, Super Absorbent, 100% Microfiber, Anti-Slip, SUEDE, Best Bikram / HOT Yoga Towel..." at $22 sounded ideal. It's less than half the price, and I liked it right away out of the box. It's definitely soft, I like how it feels against my skin, and it's quite large - overhangs my yoga mat by at least an inch on all sides, which is fine. I washed it right away and put it into practice the next day.The first time I used it, I didn't wet it. I never wet my Yogitoes towels, and even though this towel doesn't have anything to "grip" against your mat, the suede texture felt like it would provide some level of non-slip. And I suppose it does... if you're comparing it to a regular house towel or beach towel. My feet and hands don't slip at all on this product, but this product doesn't stay in place on the mat nearly as well as compared to the Yogities. Whether I'm hopping forward, sliding through, or turning my feet for placement - the towel moved or bunched EACH time. Every time we returned to downward dog, I found myself using the opportunity to smooth it back into place, and once I had to stop during class to reposition it and smooth it because it was driving me nuts. Near the end of class, by the time my sweat and general studio humidity had put moisture into the towel, it wasn't sliding as much. But it was still a huge disappointment. The next time I used it, I wet it using the studio spray bottle. It definitely helped, but it still moved or bunched pretty easily, so I thought maybe I hadn't wet it enough. So the last time I used it, I poured water from my bottle onto the mat in several spots to make sure it was dampened all the way through in several areas. This definitely helped - but even damp, it still bunches under my feet if I'm "turning" my feet or hands for various poses, or twisting against it. It's not terrible, and it hasn't required stopping class to reposition like it did that first day. Occasional bunching is easy enough to smooth out during a downward dog... but at the end of the day, this is no where NEAR the "best" I was expecting based on the item description and the few reviews I read. I will say, it does a great job of soaking up sweat! So perhaps if you have an advanced practice (where you're pretty much floating lightly in and out of poses), and you're looking for something that will actually draw moisture away from you, then I think this would work well. But if you're not advanced and you don't want to be distracted by your mat towel during practice, spend the extra money and get the Yogitoes or another mat with the rubber/silicone grippers that will actually grip against your mat during poses to help keep it in place.

BEST yoga towel of the three that I bought a year ago
I have had this towel for a little over a year and it is the best yoga towel of the three that I purchased, by far. In fact, this is the same thin microfiber type of towel that my studio hands out. I am one of those people who slides all over the place and I would have a hard time without a towel. My studio has water bottles in the classrooms so that folks can spray their towels before class and I spray both ends of the towel and that's what makes it non-slip for me. I think it also depends on the type of mat you have. Don't skimp on the mat. At first I did not want to spend the $$ but then I ended up replacing my mat for a Manduka Pro and I LOVE it. OK, back to the towel. I just ordered another one of these because I am doing yoga 4x per week and my other towels don't make me as happy as this one. This one by Yogitoes is OK but it's bulky and I slip less on my Gosweat microfiber which costs half as much. Here is the Yogitoes which is my second choice:http://www.amazon.com/Yogitoes-Skidless-Premium-Chinese-Collection/dp/B001HN5GA8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00Here is my third choice and I'm going to give it away because it's bulky (as it the Yogitoes) and is not as non-slip for me as the Gosweat:http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Towel-Youphoria-White-Stitching/dp/B00O10WHY2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00The Youphoria towel (in the last link) is definitely my least favorite of the three. It is thicker than the Gosweat, really soft but I slide on it. I do hot yoga and Vinyasa and I want a towel that is thin, lightweight, non-slip and dries quickly. The Gosweat dries REALLY quickly, too.
