JOIN THE SOLAR REVOLUTION
As of today, it has been three months since I had to turn on the infernally noisy DC converter to charge the battery that runs the lights and a few other things in my RV, where I live as a permanent resident. In coastal Oregon, where it's often at least cloudy or foggy, I'm surprised that the panels generate plenty of electricity to keep the DC system going on only one battery. I've bought another battery for the rainy months and may hook it up and wire in an inverter to run some of AC lights or appliances on solar energy, at least part of the year. I'm so happy to have joined the solar revolution and glad to be sending less of my money to fossil fuel companies! The reason for the lost star is that the instructions for setting up the system were not very good. I do not understand why companies cheap out when it comes to writing their manuals and instructions. It would not cost all that much to employ some out-of-work English majors who can explain some fairly complex technical stuff to the lay person who has no experience. I had to spend hours on the internet watching YouTube videos and reading comments and other information about solar systems to figure out how to get this thing set up. Customer service was pretty good, but I would have preferred step-by-step written instructions that include the fact, for example, that you need to get a certain type of fuse for certain parts of the system, and that you probably won't find that fuse locally, so you have to order it.That said, I have no regrets and hope to expand the system someday.

Easy to install and use.
Works good for me. Keeps our batteries changed keeping us from having to run the generator. Both of us use CPAC machines and we have stayed here for a week and today is the first time we have had to run the generator. Cloudy and rainy all day.

This Controller is Crap
My MPPT controller, purchased as part of the system, failed within six months. Inexplicably. Panels still producing plenty of voltage.

High-quality build.
I may be completely missing something; but, the panels I received are outputting 24Vs each - which isn't an issue - just changes the way I setup the system.Otherwise, they seem to be of high-quality build and work in low-light conditions. I'll update my review with additional information as my system comes together.Update: I'm not sure how I was getting 24Vs before; but, these are working great at 12Vs for my initial test system designed to power a partial load of my electronics. Unfortunately, it looks like these panels can not be connected in parallel to achieve 24Vs - they output 12Vs in series or in parallel - not really sure why on that one. Otherwise, it's a good start and a great way to get into solar.
