do not waste ur time
First off when I get the amp and hook it up, I turn all the levels up on the amp halfway.... when I try to turn the volume up on my cd player it goes into protection mode. Dont buy this amp its not worth theres a reason why this amp was so cheap.

I have seen other reviews rating this amp bad. My thoughts are this amp is priced perfect ...
I bought this amp in need of something for my single subwoofer. I have seen other reviews rating this amp bad. My thoughts are this amp is priced perfect for what it is. If you buy this amp beware of one thing! You must run 0 gauge power wire or something near that! If you purchased this amp and its going into protect mode given correct wire hookup you might be starving it of its maximum potential by not using a preferred 0 gauge wire/ground! I have always bought high end car audio stuff in my life rockford,JL ect... this amp blew my expectations. I took a gamble buying Boss thinking it would be a mistake and i could sell it back if it wasnt to my expectations, it proved me wrong. However im not 100% positive that this amp puts out a full 4,800 watts but i can tell you it puts out a enough. I hooked this this amp up to a Rockford Fosgate T2 12inch subwoofer that cost $749.00! Every other amp i used was eaten alive by my rockford sub. My sub is 1200 watts RMS and 2400 max watts. This amp blasts the hell out of my single sub and tghat says allot for a amp priced under $200!! If you have a very power hungry subwoofer and are looking for an amp but dont feel like dropping $600+ dollars this might be your amp. I have not run 2 subwoofers on this amp but i have a feeling it would do the job given the right ohm match. Just remember if you run two subs on a 1 ohm load it splits it to .5 ohms which puts you in danger of sending your amp to the graveyard. Like i said though i had numerous amps through my life and this thing performs on a grand scale for the price. If you decide to buy this amp make sure you have a good power system in your car like at least a 120AMP alternator good healthy battery and a must have 0 gauge power /0 gauge ground thats grounded properly. Dont be fooled by people who hook up amps and starve them with improper electrical deficiencies and send there amp into protect mode! Anytime you buy a large amp you want to look at the fuses mainly found externally on the amp give you a good idea what the amp can actually do such as a 400watt amp may have 2 exterenal 40 watt fusses 40x2=80fuse. Get familiar with the amp fuse ratings to determine probable power. High end amplifiers some use internal line fuses over 100amps in a single. This Boss amp uses an Internal line fuse which i believe is single 120AMP L.F. may be bigger cant remember which is a good thing telling me at the time of deciding to purchase it that it puts out some kind of high wattage. Good amp ratings always a plus. Also remember that amplifier wattage ratings lie to you in the fact that they are rated on 14.plus volts. An amp that displays 1,000 watts max may only put out 500watts due to 12volt applications. Anyhow the amp specs say 3000 watts plus on ohm load which i believe it will put out 2000plus watts from owing it. The only bad thing is that this amp gets extremely hotttttt so beware in that fact ,also advised to have it setting on a piece of plywood to reduce heat on the surface. anyway that's the only bad thing in review. Forgot to say also i have a 120 AMP line fuse on my power line from the battery i wouldn't recommend anything lower than that, so don't think that a small amp hook up kit like 900watts or less will work. You don't want to be that guy that cheaps the amp kit to save money ultimately melting or frying stuff. So for the price and performance given the correct electrical system this amp fits the bill. Thanks for reading and be smart about what your hooking up kepp your ohm loads at specs and good electrical system.
