Can this also be used as a regular flashlight?

It does not cast a very bright or very far beam so I don't advise using it as a flashlight.

is this torch projects all 8 planets and a moon? thanks!

It does have the moon a couple of planets, I don't think it had all 8 between the 3 wheels, and various other space scenes. My 5 yr old likes it. It is very small and you have to manual move the tiny picture wheel. Not bad for a few dollars. For an older child I would go with one of the bigger projectors that automatically turns and has a larger projection.

It’s pretty great and my kids loves it

This thing is really great. My dino fanatic 3 yr old loves it. It’s smaller than you’d think but perfect for little hands to control. Previous comments stated complaints about picture quality.... if you turn the front yellow piece it will adjust the photo. The pictures are crystal clear and the flash light is very bright. It’s a great little toy. Wont last a life time I’m sure but he loves it for now. I’ve seen these same flash lights at Walgreens for $3.99 they were Spider-Man theme. So maybe Amazon is selling them a little high on price. Non the less, we love it.

Cute flashlight

Flashlights are little smaller than I thought they would be but they are still so cute!! Actually they will work great for preschoolers.

good but small images

Good images, children loved it, however we soon saw that it uses small (dangerous) batteries, in addition, the disks do not spin firmly, they are partially inserted. the images are very small, could be bigger and use easy to change AAA batteries.

It’s ok

What I got is slightly different than the images shown. This one runs off of super tiny batteries and not AAAs. Also, like other have said, the images aren’t very clear even when you hold it at the recommended distance. I have found if you point it up and hold the spring loaded clip open the image clears up a lot. However if you want it closed the image gets out of focus again. For $8 it isn’t too bad. Just wish it was more like the one shown in the ad.

We like it!

My 10 year old picked this out as a gift for my 7 year old for Christy's, and it's been a hit. I like that it can also be used as just a plain flashlight.

Pure CRAP. SO small it was a choking hazard. It wasn't much bigger than my thumb.

Good value for young kids!

This ended up being a cheaper gift but the product is pretty cool. The flashlight adjusts so you can make the dinosaurs look more clear whether you are close or far away. The light might not be real durable but for the price, that's to be expected.
