SHIELDON Leather Folio Case with Auto Sleep / Wake and Multi Angle Stand for Apple iPad Air 2 - Cognac Brown

I loathe returning things. But after not quite a week with this case, I've secured an RMA from Amazon. The good: honey tan color was exactly what I wanted. Out of the box, it looked and felt good in the hand. But, the bad and the ugly coerced the return: ● There's not a d. thing "smart" about this case. Once I used the built-in stand, the top portion no longer sat flat atop the device. Instead, it puckers-up at the bend you see in the pics. Result: my battery usage seemed to go through the roof, inexplicably. Then I realized: the turn-off mechanism is hit or miss, mostly miss. Visually, it's easy to miss. Only the battery issue prompted a closer look. ● Much thicker than anticipated, so much so that you have to dig your index finger into the groove to access the power button. I use that only for screenshots, but this case made taking screenies a pain.I've been buying iPad cases since generation 1. First time the case was so bad that I was compelled to send it back.

This is a nice-looking case, and seems to be wearing fairly well. I like the fact that it automatically puts my iPad into sleep mode when I flip it closed. However, I am sorry they didn't engineer in a place for my stylus, though, and truthfully, even though I didn't send it back in a snit I think it's overpriced. With so many middle-school candy colors in cases, though, I appreciate the chance to get something I'm not embarrassed to pull out in front of my clients.

Beautiful & functional. I really love it.----------A few months later, and I'm still giving it a 5 STAR rating! The case is holding up great, and taking on a nice patina, with scratch marks and s bit of color added by my dropping a few drops of red wine on it. It is real leather, which is longer lasting than bonded or pleather products. It's not really great if you're a vegetarian. As an environmentalist, leather is actually less damaging to the environment than fake leather. And it last longer.

Pros: great , I mean great, leather. Looks awesome, feels great. Slim and lightweightCons: Dropped it from about 3 feet onto a carpet and the plastic corner protector broke. At least the ipad did not, however it was such a light tap on a carpeted surface I was surprised it broke the case

Nice leather case. I am only giving 4 stars as the magnet appears a little weak as when closing cover IPad does not always go to sleep.

We bought this leather case for the golden IPAD. Genuine leather. Excellent quality, perfect color! Impossible to find something better! Main thing - IPad is very stable in any position when you use this leather case!
