I installed a total of 14 of these hooks 9 months ago. They began to rust almost immediately. These are photos of 2 of them, along with a photo of a stainless hinge that was installed at the same time. The hooks are now almost solidly covered with rust, while the hinges are still like new.I would not buy these again, and I would not recommend them to anyone who needs stainless steel.

I used this on an interior door to keep our laundry room door propped open just a few inches - just wide enough for my cat to go in for food and kitty litter but narrow and sturdy enough to keep our 65 lbs Lab mix out. The door can't close accidentally now and the hardware is smooth enough and well weighted enough so even with your hands full you can open it easily. The quality and finish are very good, and these should fit into most environments without sticking out - it's a low key, low tech solution, certainly better than some of the dumb looking plastic devices with self adhesive backing that I see available for pet/door needs like mine.

Needed a little latch for a couple pocket doors... they're hollow and may not appreciate the four screws that came with these.. so I used double-back adhesive. Totally worked.. even dog-proof, who can easily open the doors with his nose. Fixed. (The doors). I'm sure they're even better when you attach them to desired surfaces with screws.

We're using these to baby-proof our bathrooms and closets (don't want the kid falling in the toilet or down the laundry chute!). These are AWESOME and so sturdy! We put them up high where kids can't reach because our door knobs don't have locks. We drilled pilot holes directly into the wood doors and frames and they installed easily. Very reliable, no complaints.

I finally opened the package to install this and one of the U pieces that should be welded to one backing was not welded on so it just popped off. I only needed one so I used the other, but I would recommend going elsewhere.

Super easy to use. A tad larger than I expected but that didn’t bother me. If you’re looking for something on the smaller side then I would pass on this one. Otherwise, it’s super sturdy and does the job. Installed in a couple of minutes.

Looks great and good quality, but it is rusting. Never seen “Stainless steel” rust. I suspect is just steel chromed, but I tested it and it is not magnetic. True that I live in the coast, but that “is why” all the outside hardware I buy is stainless.

I installed them on my garden box to keep the top open when I needed to harvest or maintain. They are just great and extremely well made. I would buy again.
