Do I need to get deck flanges with this ladder?

i didnt need them for my deck. you can screw through deck

The top of our pool is about 8-10 inches above our deck. Would this work so the legs would reach the deck and the top would sit on the pool?

The handrail is adjustable. I found a site that said, "For decks higher than 56" use # EB100", which is a ladder riser so that would help you. Here is a link to the manual which also includes a phone number on the last page. Hope this helps. http://www.conferplastics.com/Confer-Model-635-52.pdf

Is there a base /seat that fits into the top between the handles into the two square holes that can be orderd?

There was no order form for anything like that with mine. However, the ladder needs to be mounted up against the pool so if you are mounting to a deck then the deck surface acts as a seat or base.

can this be installed on a deck which is 60" high

you would have to buy a couple of risers.my deck is 58 high and the ladder just touches the floor.
