In the modern age of smartphones, we really are spoiled. Trying to get my kids to play with me outside WITHOUT their phones are near impossible. Sometimes you need to get back to basics to have some real fun.I'm talking walkie talkies, the kind I would've killed for as a kid. The ability to talk to another person far away, without a tin can on a string, so cool.As soon as I pulled these out of the box, it was game time. The kids actually left their phones inside when they saw how cool these things are. The buttons are decently intuitive, and the design is simple. Hold down the button on the side to talk, etc.I found the range to be right around what was advertised, and the sound quality is good for the price. I have used some cheap junky walkie talkies before, and these are in a whole other league.Just make sure to pick up a pack of AAA batteries, 4-per walkie talkie, so you don't have to wait to pick em' up and use em.

My kids have been having a blast with them. Right out of the box they were able to get them working. My only complaint is that one already needed 4 new AAA batteries after 3 days of use. I'm not sure if my kid was keeping the light on, or button mashing something he shouldn't have been with it, but I'm hoping I'm not replacing batteries every 3 days.

So much fun! Gave to daughter for her 4th bday amd while she doesn't quite get holding down and releasing the talk button, it's adorable and lots of fun! We are never that far away that I can't hear her anyway. Even cuter is her and her 4 year old friend using them! Great price and durable, good toy.

My kid had so much fun! Its very easy to use, sounded ok. and didnt mix any channels up with other peoples device so far. now it becomes her favorite toy!

They just never worked right.
