Reached into a 450 degree oven, pulled out the rack, lifted the pan with one hand and moved it to the kitchen island and didn't feel more than a slight warmth. I am seriously impressed. One caveat: Getting them wet reduces the thermal resistance. They tell you that. I got a finger tip wet with the drippings and I felt the change, but it was really minimal. Didn't interfere with moving the pan at all.Also, n the gas grill, I reached in and pulled the temp probe out of a chicken. No heat sensedAlso, on the charcoal grill, I lifted the (Weber) rack sides to add charcoal after an hour over the coals without a problem.Then I bought three sets as Christmas presents for my male relations.

Until I got these gloves, I used to use oven mitts. And now I'm wondering why it took me so long to discover these beauties. They are amazingly heat resistant; you could probably dip them in molten lava and you wouldn't feel a thing. Ok, I'm exaggerating. But they do the job, they're super comfortable, and I'm never putting on mitts again.

Excellent loves for the price. They have saved the hair on my arms many times. I barbecue on a Weber coal and wood fire grill so the temperatures are quite intense. They allow for my hands to hover over the heat turning and arranging food as long as I need. I especially love that when I'm toasting hamburger or hotdog buns, I can quickly just pick them up and check the underside as they can burn in a matter of seconds. I do not recommend picking up the hot steel cooking grate as the thin metal gets in between the silicone pads and will burn your fingers. Oh, do not attempt to pick up a hot coal with these either. Overall, very satisfied with these gloves.

Like the quality seems like it will last for awhile but I've only used them once. The gloves are very bulky would love if they fit more snug. The bulk made it hard to work in them and I could feel some heat come through which made me nervous. My assumption was that the gloves were totally heat proof and I could handle very hot stuff and not feel anything. I think they are made more for a man's hand.

I got the chance to use these heat resistant gloves after cooking on my griddle and after cooking I needed to clean the griddle. The gloves were excellent on while I was cleaning the hot surface and made the clean-up a breeze. I highly recommend these heat resistant gloves!
