I have been reading everyone's review on the mockingjay pin product. So i recently bought this pin just last week and got it today in the mail (april 10, 2012). The packing itself was in great shape. No damage to the product as it was inside the package. Now for the pin. For what everyone is saying about the price. Definitely, don't go buying the pin that doubles the price of its original pricing at the main stores such as Toys R Us and Hot Topic. Here on amazon your paying another few dollars for the shipping and handling. From last week, i totally went on a hunt to Toys R Us to try to find the mockingjay pin and they were out of stock. The employee had told me that the store will be restocking on tuesday. Since the store had no more the mockingjay pins I called hot topic and they also were out of stock. Instead of going back to the stores i just bought it on amazon instead. I love the mockingjay pin. Its medal like everyone else is been saying. Its durable to wear and i don't think the back pin itself will fall out. The back pin is lockable. And its exactly like the one from the Hunger Games movie.

I got my pin in the mail yesterday and it surprised me! I didn't expect it until Monday, and that only made me doubly excited when I opened the package. Now, I have to say, I've always been skeptical with online purchases so I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I opened it; but this pin absolutely went above my expectations. The detail is amazing, so much better than I could have hoped for, and the pin stays on really well. Plus, it's metal! None of that cheap, plastic crap. However, I was disappointed with the price (it certainly wasn't worth almost $20!) but I guess that was my fault for waiting so long and letting the price increase again (or not waiting long enough until the price decreased again!) Besides, I couldn't find it anywhere else: my local Target, Wal-Mart, Hot Topic, and Barnes & Nobles didn't have it, and as a die-hard Hunger Games fan, it was the one prop I just had to have!Overall, this pin exceeded my expectations and even made me a little more comfortable with online shopping; I recommend it to all fellow Hunger Games fans. Thanks to Amazon, I can now go out sportin' my new Mockingjay pin and showing the world what a true fan I am :)

This pin came in the mail today, much to my delight. Here's what I love about it:-The pin seems to be true to size when compared to images of Katniss handling it in the movie.-It's made of metal, not plastic, and it has a nice weight to it; heavy enough to feel real, not too heavy for everyday use.Now, putting that aside for a moment, here are the things that you might take a moment to consider if you're trying to make up your mind about which Mockingkjay replica you'd like to have.-The product I have in my hand and the products in the customer photos are *not* the same, but they seem to be of comparable quality. Mine came in a small plastic bag with a printed label on it, not in the NECA bag.-This pin is very beautiful and very bright. If you're looking for a darker, grittier replica, the one I have in my hand is not the way to go. Of course, it seems the item you receive from this order may be distinctly different from the item I've received in mine depending on when you order it.I am personally very pleased with the product. As a collector of pins, it seems to me to be well made and sturdy enough to go on my jacket and not in my pin box. I'll come back in a few weeks and let you know how it holds out in terms of durability. Until then, I strongly recommend this pin to anyone, of any age, looking for a little piece of Katniss.
