Wireless CCTV Camera System

Very impressed. Packed well and all the components look of sound quality. Having the cameras pre-set to the control unit was ideal. It was a case of plugging in, switching on and job done. Getting a power supply to the cameras was hardest part for me personally, but once achieved I was really pleased with the quality of picture during the day and at night. I had to get help with the technical side, copying the information and putting it onto a computer for recording, other than that it was easy. Only one criticism, the USB output for the mouse (which was supplied) is also used for recording onto a memory stick. I used a multi- USB connector to have both plugged in at the same time.

Not installed as yet but a lot more complex than I had thought yes it’s wireless and I can’t vouch for its reliability or quality but you need to be aware each camera has to have its own electrical supply. Which means drilling through walls to get to a socket which could be challenging for some people.

Fit for purpose. Easy installation. The only negative is the range of the WiFi range (struggles to transmit any more than 3 brick walls) on the cameras which can be overcome by using the other cameras as a router.

I have been using (or trying to) for quite a while now and I have just about come to the end of my patience with the mobile app. I bought this system to remotely monitor my home while I am away and nine times out of ten the application on IOS fails and I may as well have not bought it at all. It works well as a DVR etc, the cameras are easy to install but the performance of the app is so poor I couldn't recommend it to anyone.

2 of the 4 cameras worked, despite emailing smonet about 20 times they keep asking the same questions. Not very good customer service and quality of the cameras is not very good as 2 dont even work.
