NOTE: I upgraded recently to a Series 4 Apple Watch and this charger doesn't work with it. It shuts off after charging about 20%. If you have an older watch, I still recommend it, as before.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Several variations of this product are sold on Amazon, but I chose this one because it is among the least expensive, has an attached cover for the USB jack (so it won’t get lost), and wasn’t misrepresented by answers and reviews that obviously related to different products. It arrived the next day and I was pleasantly surprised by how small it is and how well made it seems to be. It has an added benefit that I did not expect: the USB jack fits in ports that are right side up OR upside down. The watch gets a little warm when charged, but that’s normal. I’ve only used it for a few days, but so far, I’m very impressed. (Revised to delete comment about use in vertical position, because although the magnet is strong enough to hold the watch, it doesn’t charge well that way.)

I bought an aftermarket charger for my 1st gen Apple Watch from eBay some time ago. It only worked for about a month then I found the charger/watch got hot in the morning and the watch battery wasn't even charged. Put the watch back on to the Apple charger and everything was fine again. Since that experience, I have been pretty adamant about buying a "good" charger for my business trip. Recently, I found this item which is compact and with good reviews. It is also an "Amazon Choice" item. So I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, same bad experience happened again. This time, it only worked for two days. I think I am going to stick to Apple charger from this point on.

Absolutely worthless. I took this on a trip and tried it out using multiple different usb chargers and it would take an entire 9 to 12 hours to charge a watch and even then it wasn’t 100%

I keep this is my purse in a little bag with cables and cords and digital necessities. This is something that when you need it, you need it. You cannot borrow a regular iPhone charger. Say you've gone to the hospital with someone and you are sitting and sitting and your dear watchie is at 10%. That's a terrible feeling. Well hospitals are bad feelings but you could be anywhere where you cannot leave and your power is low. If you are a power user of the watch, having this little charger is a delight. I've been wanting one but nothing really appealed until I found this one. Small, light, well designed and easy to store in my purse.

Really happy about purchase. Not sure why it’s so difficult to find an Apple Watch charger without having to pay an arm and a leg or having to buy the one with the cable. No more dreading taking my home charger with me and having to pull the cable out of the nightstand. I need one on the go for travel and this is perfect. I just plug it into any usb I can find which nowadays are everywhere and my watch is up and running again. I’ve plugged this intoA portable battery pack and it’s even more convenient. I also love that this has that extra removable “stand” so your watch has something to perch itself on when you have it sitting vertically.

Great as a travel accessory. It’s already in my roller bag pocket attached to the small usb wall socket ready for travel. Saves unplugging and packing the long charging cord on my side dresser as I head for a flight when my wife is fast asleep.As shown in my picture - my watch was fully charged in 2 hours. It may have been charged sooner. I saw a similar device 25% less expensive but the review dates were all within a week of each other and this one has been around longer.

I was looking for something compact for travel. I have a table top power strip with usb outlets. Often wall outlets are hard to reach, so I plug in once and have electrical and usb handy on the bedside table. Watch charger just plugs in and provides a holder as well- eliminates the long charging cord that comes with the watch. Seems to charge watch efficiently. Only drawback is that it shuts off power once watch is fully charged, then the nightstand mode won’t work and you have to check your phone for time.

this little charger is so easy and convenient for travel and at home use however the charger gets super hot while trying to charge the Apple Watch series 5. I can only use it in emergencies only. Really bummed cause it is so easy and convenient
