Who Knew? The Things You Can Do + It's Only A Snip and A Snap Away
This turned out to be a diamond in the rough for me. I originally put them on my ironing board and while they held the cover taught (as they were supposed to) because of the way my ironing board folds, I had to readjust them a bit. Later that week I discovered a much better use for them. We have a very nice mattress pad on our bed, but despite the fact it has a wide, fully elastic edge that fits the mattress just like a fitted sheet, it is forever getting bunched up under the sheets making it feel lumpy when you're trying to sleep. So, I wound up taking the these fasteners off the ironing board and simply cutting the existing elastic right in the center (no need to make twice the work fitting and sewing new elastic through the metal clips) . Once cut (using what I had on hand) I took some 1" wide elastic, typical of what is used in the waistbands of slacks, and with my husbands help, stretched the elastic across the width of the mattress, added about 4 inches for overlapping and stitching, then cut three that same length. The fourth one was stretched head to foot on the mattress, (same method as side-to-side). Using plenty of zig zag stitching, I sewed the new strips of elastic to the existing elastic I'd left on the snaps.. This took all of about 10 minutes. MUCH, MUCH better holding power than the little corner snaps you find in the stores for sheets, We slid the three shorter ones beneath the mattress without any issues and attached them on either side (starting about 18" from the ends and centering the third one in the middle of the sides. The longer one was placed beneath the mattress and centered (head to foot). It has worked so well I'm going to do the same to the bed in the guest room. The snaps are heavy duty and the set was very inexpensive. I don't think you could buy eight heavy duty snaps separately. for less. Who'd want to, when half the work is already done FOR you. An extremely easy project with excellent results even for those who are 'sewing machine challenged'. It's hidden under the mattress where no one will ever see it!Everything has stayed in place perfectly I... LOVE...IT !

Does the job
These ironing board cover suspenders are okay though one of the four in the package had a run going across the middle of the elastic so I expect it to break at some point soon. Other than that, the clips work as expected and the elastic is reasonably sturdy.

Did the trick & we are ironing again!
So far, so good. I was glad to find these from a reputable dealer. My new ironing board pad is super thick and would not stay in place on its own. These solved the problem. MhF

Poor quality control AND the long doesn't stretch as far as I needed--7 inches max
bought these to hold my 'just barely wide enough new ironing board cover on the board. First one pulled apart in my hands (sewing on elastic had cut the elastic). Carefully I stretched the other 3.... with the short one very close to the end of the board. It really only stretches 5 inches end to end including clips.Bottom line is that these are barely functional, poor quality and do not do what old ironing board fasteners do. I purchased these because I always used dritz products growing up...and expected better quality and quality control. Clearly they are not any longer. However I haven't found a real alternative out there....If you only expect 2 out of 3 to work, and only need a narrow tie, then these will work fine.

Good Product, but Difficult to Install
Ironing board cover serves it's purpose, but took my husband and I to stretch it to get it on the board. I took measurements before I ordered to be sure it would fit. Once on, we hammered two thumb tacks on the broad end of the board to keep the cover secured and it won't pop off. At first, I thought there was a flaw with the cover's measurements, but it was the correct measurements once we managed to install.

The clips so a good job grabbing on to the material
Works perfectly well on my standard ironing board. I read reviews after I ordered it claiming it wasn't adjustable and didn't fit people's boards. I really don't know what they were talking about. I think this would actually fit those wide ironing boards. The white material is elastic and will stretch adequately. The clips so a good job grabbing on to the material. Very glad I purchased these.
