works fantastic
had to return the first one because the tape measure would not self lock. Second one that I had exchanged worked well. Lock was secure. The lettering has large font and easy to read. Good rubber pads for gripping. Large clear button for retracting the tape measure.I would recommend when retracting the tape measure, hold the tape of the tape measure while pushing the retract button, so you dont damage the spring over time. It can also reduce the chance of the tape going crazy while going back into the unit.

NOT HEAVY DUTY Broke after a couple months
I have several measuring tapes and this was my favorite one when I initially bought it. The locking mechanism broke sadly after a couple months and now it cant even stay open anymore it is completely useless and going in the rubbish.

Sturdy
It really is metal, works well, feels sturdy, and I like the self lock feature. And of course, great price, cheaper even than the plastic tape measures
