Microwaved as advised to mold together several rods and create basic shapes to hold in my ring holder and also vice. Then I use a heat gun to just soften the top enough to insert the thing I want to hold and gently push the thermolock just over the edge so when it hardens up the thing is held securely. Works great!

A must have for jewellers
So glad I found this reasonably priced and perfectly proportioned amount of thermo lock!I do not need the full set sold from my suppliers, as this stuff is quite reusable, and my work does not require large amounts at a time. However, 1/4 lb is still plenty. Very happy with this purchase. And for those wondering if you will need the silicon/teflon mat thing that comes with the original package, it's not necessary. I did order some non-stick teflon craft sheet and so far have not needed it. Disappointing. Photo not accurate for what was received.
The photo is deceiving. The bag I got was less than half that size. How are you supposed to know how much 1/4 lb is.Also did not come with instructions.Very disappointed.
