Excellent. Story is interesting and fun for various age levels and includes multiple worthwhile messages.

In this book, Tavo must set aside his basketball dreams to help his father on the farm. He is the only one to support his father's idea to dig up the old irrigation ditches to bring water to the crops during the drought. In the end, the people see their positive results and have a change of heart. Tavo helps his dad save the village crops and gets to chase his dream once again. This book has beautiful themes of selflessness and community.

I picked this book up at the library. It was entertaining, inspiring and beautiful. I read it aloud to third graders to discuss story elements. Thank you to the authors and illustrator and publisher.
