Prescott's Microbiology 9th Edition

My microbiology professor relies on this book to teach his class, so if your professor relies on this textbook, I highly recommend it. There's fun diagrams, and I find it relatively easy to read. The down fall of this book is that there is A LOT of information, probably more than you would ever have to know about microbes, unless you're majoring in microbio.

I bought this book several years ago, and the 11 th edition is already listed on the publisher's web site. The 9th edition is listed as having 2272 pages but the FREE pdf of the 9th edition has 1139 pages. I hope that Amazon will carry the 11th edition loose leaf at the publisher's listed price at $130.66.

Very clear and understandable text. Good organization with notes, what to read further, what to review, and with extra questions. The used copy looks almost as good as new.

Book is in perfect shape and I am pleased. Something in the shopping caused slight damage to the book. Rather than returning it because I need it now for my micro class.

I had to order this book for school and it was delivered very quickly, even though it was coming from another country. I appreciate that the international version was offered since it was cheaper than it normally is
