Exactly what I needed
I got these clamps to connect a high wattage power inverter to my car battery for occasional use. The clamps have a design that facilitates the use of ring terminals.Ring terminals were attached to the cables I have, so all I had to do was to drill a 3/16" hole through a couple of pennies to use as washers to hold the cables in place. I used the coins to depict the size of the clamps.I drilled the hole on the reverse side of the coin; I just could'nt drill into Abe's profile.Construction of the clamps is solid and I expect to reuse them in the far future. As well as the pennies used.

Works great!
People seem to be missing the fact that crimp terminals are already included with the jaw and you're supposed to crimp your own cable to these. I couldn't use them because they are way too bulky for the cables I have. So I bought ring terminals from my local hardware store and crimped/soldered them. Along with a slightly larger cap head allen screw and new nut with a washer. The jaw itself is really sturdy with a very strong spring. There is also a built-in strap that curves around from one side of the handle to the other.

I liked the strong spring action to provide a positive connection ...
I liked the strong spring action to provide a positive connection to battery post. I agree with other posts that the wire attachment method was unsatisfactory. I made a set of jumper cables using 2 gauge welding cable but discarded the wire terminal that was provided and used a crimp type ring terminal. I had to enlarge the hole in the handle to accept a 1/4 inch bolt. I also drilled two more holes in the handle for a strain relief so tugging on the wires would not be transferred to the crimped wire terminal. I am very pleased with the end result.

Good clamps. Cable clamps attach near end of handle ...
Good clamps. Cable clamps attach near end of handle and have a copper strip to the other handle to get clean current to both jaws without relying on the spring or hinge point (as long as the spot weld holds). The downside I see is the jaws are an add on part (not pure copper, plated as the rest of the handle) that are riveted to the handles, creating a potential added resistance as the they age or are exposed to the elements). A potential solution is to run the cable all the way to one jaw and replace a rivet with a bolt if it becomes a problem. Cable clamps are very substantial, but I replaced them with ring terminals for 2ga wire.

Great ends, but need better ring terminals to connect them.
Very good replacement, the way you connect them is you remove one of the handle covers and you bolt a connection to the handle, this means you have to crimp a ring terminal to your wire first, make sure you get good quality terminals, the ones they send with it are not very good, I ordered some good ones and a crimper here on Amazon and it all worked out perfectly.

Very strong grip
These clamps are sturdy with a strong bite. The plastic covers are also well made and durable. I would have given this product five stars but the bolts used to secure cable eyelets are made of soft metal. When I tried to tighten one on the cable eyelet the bolt threads stripped before I was able to get it tight enough for a secure connection. I'll get some hardened bolts from the hardware store instead.

Great Quality Clamps
Very nice jumper cable clamps. I wasn't expecting these to be any better than the rest of the junky clamps out there, but these are heavy-duty in every way. You won't be disappointed.

These are awesome!
These clamps are very nice quality and heavy duty. The grips are very nice and fit tight. Under the grip is a screw and nut to connect your cables. If I ever need another pair, I will purchase these again!
