I bought this so that I could use my wireless Beats headphones with my Xbox One and be able to use the chat feature. The wireless Beats headphones will not work on the chat side because of how the plug and Port is inside of the Xbox controller as well as inside of the headphones themselves. The first and last prong on the cable that connects the controller to the headphones are swamped and it is basically an apple style and the Microsoft controller microphone part reads Android style. That is why you cannot use the microphone with your Beats headphones. When you buy this cable, it allows you to use the Beats headphones and it has a microphone built into it that actually works. It also has a slider for volume control. It sounds great and it's working great with no static so far. I just received it yesterday and already have used it for about 8 hours. I will edit this post in the future if something goes wrong with the cable.

I bought my son a set of blue lit Brookstone Cat-eared headphones a while ago off Amazon. His only complaint was how the volume control on the cord of the headphones was faulty and didn't work at all and the "straight" jacks on the cord that goes into his music device was awkward in his pocket. He refused to let me send it back with only the cord being faulty.Later he decided to have me purchase this cord. He was excited about the straight and the corner jacks. The corner jack would be perfect for his music phone. After trying it out he was very happy to say that the volume control on it worked perfectly. He didn't try the mic. So I can't say anything about that. The cord may feel a bit weird since it's flat rather than round he called it "cassette tape innards" but it's length is good.

***BUYER BEWARE***I have purchased two of these cables off of amazon and both have broke within the first couple of weeks. The first cable cuts in and out and the second cables microphone doesn't work. The feel to this product is very generic and although it has a 1 year warranty I am having a hard time getting replacements from the manufacturer. Both of my purchases are verified and yet they will not provide me with a claim code until I delete my comment off of amazon regarding their product. (Pictures below) I will add more information as this seems like its going to be a pain in the butt to get these replaced.*Edit- The person I am working with (Angel. L) stated that they are only able to give out one claim code even though both of my cables are broken. They want me to purchase the other cable with a 50% discount. I have been going back and forth with this person for a couple of weeks already. This company needs to send me a product that actually works if it wants me to delete my comments.

I bought this to connect my wireless studio pro beats headphones to my Xbox one to use the beats as an online gaming headset. It worked perfectly to plug the headset into the controller, hear the game sound, hear chat and, use the mic to speak to others in game. You can turn the control headset volume with a slider on the mic but the buttons in the actual headset dont do anything with Xbox. Only thing it lacks that I wish it had after purchase for gaming purposes is a mute function for the mic. Over all quality as expected and I’m pleased with my purchase

This cable worked fine for about three months then the wire at the right angle end of the cable started malfunctioning. The mic was also extremely sensitive and would hear all the bleeding from my Beats Solo 2 Headphones, which was pretty annoying due to the echo it would cause for my friends. Ultimately, I could deal with that issue, but the fact that the cable only lasted about three months is why I gave it three stars. I wish they would just make these cables with better quality as most of the ones I find at this price on Amazon last only a couple months.

I bought this after watching a review on YouTube stating that it would help me use my Beats Studio Headphones with my Xbox One (the original cable that my Beats came with didn't work--the only time people could hear anything from my end is when I tapped on the volume buttons).I can confirm that the microphone WILL work on Beats Studio Headphones (I have the newer edition with Bluetooth capability). The microphone quality seems to be decent as well, and I'd highly recommend this item. I just plug it in direct to the controller.I purchased same day delivery (probably a poor reflection on how I spend my time and money) and they were delivered to my apartment by 7 PM. Just a tip--if you live in a locked apartment complex like myself, leave your phone number under the option for "Leave gate code." The Amazon delivery girl called and waited for me to come down.Good overall experience.

Tried to use with a Nexus 6p since it was described as having universal compatibility. Volume slider works fine, audio comes through, mic works, etc. Button is a bust. A third of the time it actually worked to pause audio playback. A third of the time, it did nothing. A third of the time, it would mute all audio. Sometimes, without pressing anything, it would force the volume all the way down. I guess when they say "universal compatibility," they're only talking about moving audio from one 3.5mm jack to another. I like the flat cable design, I think the inline volume control is neat, and I'm sure that a big part of the problem is that smartphone manufacturers (Apple, fragmented Google) refuse to use the same standards for cable signaling, but either way I can't use this thing.I've since purchased another aux cable from a different manufacturer and the button on that one works fine.

Although I've only had these for about 24 hours and have only used them for about 6, I've got to say so far this has exceeded my initial expectations. Mainly you must know how you are going to use this cable.I purchased this to use my Beats Studio wireless 2.0 with Xbox Live. From plugging them in, to tweaking the audio settings on the Xbox; I've got to say it's been purely seamless and a great way to save some $$$. If you own a pair of beats studios and need a decent gaming headset or just a replacement cable this is a great buy!

Need these for making my Beats headphones into a head set for my Xbox and they work great!

Bought this to use with Beats Studio Wireless headphones with an Xbox controller as the iPhone lead just didn't work. This on the other hand was perfect.

Funcionan bien en xbox one con el adaptador.A nivel de calidad son normales.Encajan perfecto en beats studio pro.
