White Oyster Mushroom Spawns Oyster White Mushroom Spawns are made from Pure Culture Procured from Directorate of Mushroom Research, Solan and made under aseptic conditions on autoclaved wheat grains. Following Method have been used for growing Oyster White Mushroom One Kg of spawns was mixed with 20 kg of formalin treated or Steam treated Wheat Straw having 70 to 80% moisture content. After bagging in plastic bags, 25 to 30 holes poked with formalin treated sac needle in concentric way to provide sufficient aeration. The bags were kept in close room to achieve optimum Co2 concentration and sprayed with water twice a day. In two to three weeks mushroom mycelium will spread all over the bag and in another three weeks, upon adding of casing soil Oyster White mushroom will start appearing as it fruits.
